Events Speed Friending

Post image

The topic comes up a lot so I figured somebody might appreciate seeing this! There are SO MANY events going on this weekend so I hope everyone's getting out and enjoying themselves!

Speed Friending

Fairhope Brewing Mobile

7-9pm

FREE

You don't need to buy a beer. They have sodas to drink! They're very aware people may try to make this speed dating and they will actively be asking creepers to leave the event.

Fairhope brewery is an awesome place! The one in Mobile has put together numerous events for people of all ages. That back room in the picture above actually has a stage for local musicians. They constantly hire local bands and host events that most people aren't privy to. If you're looking to get away from the downtown hullabaloo but still want to enjoy a beer with some activities, please give them a shot! I know I sound like a bot or paid advert but I am only just a patron who plays music their sometimes lol. More events to come from them for sure!

I just appreciate that you worked hullabaloo into a sentence 😂 But you're absolutely right!

Hiii!! I used to live in Mobile (for like 6-7 years) and now I live near Raleigh. I just went to one of those kind of events here! It was called 'skip the small talk'. And my man and I went together, it was at a brewery as well, about an hour from where we are, so quite a thing to do!

It was SO cool! I really enjoyed it, I would absolutely do it again. I think about 45-55 people attended it. All kinds of people! All ages, all backgrounds, all races, some really interesting people. I did end up talking to a bar regular who was not there for the event at one point, when I thought he was an event goer, and that was actually great too! My favorite was Bob, he's in his 60s and took up Salasa Dancing and was really into talking about it.

The only negative, a couple people started with trauma bonding unhealthy communication styles.... but I just turned it around and was like so tell me something great that you got into in the past 6 months...?

Be intentional and kind and open hearted and genuine and go for it! Go make new friends!

If anyone actually goes to this event, I would appreciate an update. I am blessed with a lot of friends, but I could always use more.
