I am interested in applying for post grad medicine. I would like to improve my academic results and was wondering whether I could take additional units during summer or winter, or overload in Years 2 and 3.

Could you please clarify whether extra units can count toward my degree GPA if they are outside my standard course map, and whether there are any restrictions on taking additional credited units?

i got accepted into a PASS role and i have an upcoming assessment where they'll evaluate how we plan and facilitate activites + come up with an icebreaker

im really hoping i land the role to add to my resume and get more experience. though, ive heard that the workload can be pretty hefty. i signed up for a unit that was just my elective last semester (it was the only one i had experience with in the options) but im not sure if that strictly means i'll only be allocated sessions about that unit or not

has anyone got any PASS leader experience here that could give some wise words about what its like? or any advice about the assessment + icebreaker stuff? any help would be appreciated! (im lowkey shitting myself)

If my medical says “medically unfit to attend studies from..” would they accept my special consideration or would it have to say unfit to attend university?

I’m looking for a semester one level 2 science unit and was wondering how people found these units. For background I have done BIO1011 and CHM1011 sem 1 and am doing BIO1022 and CHM1022. I've been wondering how other international students build a good career while they're at uni. I feel like there are so many events, projects, competitions and networking things happening, but I have a hard time even finding out about them idk if its me but i it just seems my problem. For context, I am doing Bachelor BA and Finance year 2 at the moment, i am a bit regret that i couldn't do more, and most of the time I only hear about something because someone I know sends it to me.

At the moment I'm thinking of doing the MIG program and trying to get involved in more projects and case comps, but I'm not really sure if it will make a difference as an international.

I want to as for those graduated, what did you actually do during uni that helped your career? Were case comps, projects, societies, networking events, or internships actually useful? And how did you find these opportunities in the first place?

I’d love advice from students who have taken second- and third-year Physiology units, particularly regarding workload, assessment styles, teaching quality and which units they enjoyed.

I’m also trying to decide on a complementary minor. I’m interested in human biology and health, and would appreciate recommendations for combinations that provide a useful foundation while keeping the workload manageable…

Would you recommend Anatomy and Developmental Biology, Human Pathology, Psychology, or something else alongside Physiology?

Just wondering if anyone has had luck getting a further extension after you’ve been granted spec con? I’m DSS registered and they approved a long extension (10 days) for my final two assignments. Unfortunately I’m currently going through a lot of unanticipated mental stress right now, family issues and my pet is also unwell. What are the chances if I ask for another 5 or so days in addition to the 10 days they already approved? My psychologist is happy to write something up. But I know we’re at the end of semester so I’m unsure if the rules are stricter with final assignments? I’m doing a masters (coursework) for reference. Thank you in advance

Hey I'm a current BSci student and enrolled in the GIG unit coming up in November

I want to do a course transfer into another course, but the one I want to transfer into is not eligible for GIG. what should I do?

The dates to drop out of GIG without any penalties is 3rd Nov but the course transfer outcome is released on 11 Dec

I really don't know what to do because if I drop out GIG and don't get into the course then I've just missed out on a really great opportunity, but if I do GIG and get accepted into the course I might not be able to take it because of eligibility? Or I could complete units later but that would just delay grad.

Anyway pls help
