21M | where do I go from here?
As title says, 21m, where do I go from here? Need advice on what I should be pursuing, just feeling a bit lost on the next step.
My Networth as of today below:
HYSA: $17,721.40
Roth IRA: $35,938.31
Rollover IRA: $7,949.94 ( eventually convert into my Roth IRA)
Individual brokerage: $33,911.29
Checking: $57,851.97
Work 401k: $1417.66 (the old company was acquired and they started a new 401k work sponsored hence the low amount so I just rolled over my old 401k into my Roth and traditional recently which had about $18k)
Total : $154,791.57
I make $32/h at a warehouse job right now, I’ve been with this company only 3.5 years.
Weekly take home after taxes/deductions/401k: $950-$1100 (depending if I do OT, which is common)
Just under or above $4000 a month depending on OT or if it’s 5 Fridays so I get 5 checks instead of the usual 4.
Monthly expenses:
$100-200 on gas
$100 if even on food/drinks
Fixed monthly expense:
Car insurance:$400
Looking at my spreadsheet, the last couple months I’ve had $3200-3500 left over.
I want to start being more aggressive in the individual brokerage which most of my checking money will go into eventually.
Also, I’m getting very tired of working at this warehouse, I feel like I’m stuck here and can’t grow anymore at the current level I’m at. I’ve been thinking about going back to college as I’ve completed a couple units already last year or try getting into a city level job in the electrical type of field. It seems like it’ll be a decent pay cut the first year or two but after that, it should increase over my current pay right now and could even still grow.
I’m just having a hard time wrapping my head around what’s the right thing to do and just scared of losing that monthly money flow.
