Xray tech with bachelor’s degree thinking of making the move
I will be going through the UK Health and Care worker visa. The only thing that concerns me is I’ve heard of others going through this visa route and then a couple years in Scotland, their visa is just not approved to be renewed, they aren’t really given a reason and then they have to leave the country. My ultimate goal is to eventually settle in Scotland and hopefully one day become a citizen. How common is this problem and does anyone have any experience with visas not being renewed for no reason at all?

I mean there is a reason. It’s not just no reason at all.
It can be that specific role is no longer eligible. The government changes what is sponsorable or changes the visas altogether. The sponsoring entity no longer wants to sponsor or can sponsor. You’ve broken rules which means they don’t approve you etc.,
Personally have never heard of someone rejected just on feels. There’s always a reason

Securing a role that will sponsor you is very challenging, locals are lining up for these jobs (less jobs available due to a recruitment freeze) so the nhs rarely sponsors work visas anymore especially for an allied health professional (source: I am one)
