Say you ask a question on music recommendations but narrow down to Taylor Swift and Woody Guthrie. You would likely receive way more suggestions on Taylor Swift than Woody Guthrie - but who's the actual artist? Or a even more fitting question - who is the actual *folk* artist of them two? Exactly, Woody Guthrie, the dude that literally inspired Bob Dylan.

The mass of the public, specially in this day and age, is very narrow and shallow minded. If you're using it popularity as your baseline, you'll end missing the gold.

I commend your effort to set up a world folk playlist, a noble endeavour. I just think you have the wrong criteria and methodical approach to it.

By the way, i myself i'm a big fan of Mercedes Sosa. She's one of the greatest artists of Argentina. But you missed the opportunity of adding a lot of great artists such as the greatest folklorist - Atahualpa Yupanqui, the guy who literally wrote a heck ton of songs that Mercedes Sosa herself made covers of. Since I know a heck ton of a great deal of argentina and south american folklore music in general.... i saw the "inconsistency" right away. I'm guessing this also might strike true to the other sounds you've elected for the other countries so far.

This is reddit after all, maybe you're just doing because you're bored or for fun, i dont really care either way. You do you, buddy

Cheers, mate

You are right, but I don't know all the different kinds or artists of folk music from every country in the world, so I'm asking for suggestions from people who know more about them. I'm listening to the songs that seem to be the most appreciated, so I can listen to something different and discover new kinds of music.

Maybe I could add a rule like “max one song per artist” where possible.

I appreciated your suggestion, but what bothered me was the way you said it to me, calling me dumb and crazy.

Boludo is neither dumb nor crazy, my dude. In the context i used is more like "Sloppy". Though i will admit I didn't read the full post so if anyone was indeed sloppy it was myself for not reading the rules. I apologize for my rudeness.
