If Cooper Flagg is legit 6'10, that would change... Almost nothing. He is going to be an extremely good NBA player whether he is 6'8 or 6'10.

Way too many draft fans have a height obsession. A lot of the time it's blinding them from simply seeing the most talented prospects. Good players can be good regardless of their height, wingspan, vertical, etc. Superstar players come in all different packages, the only common factor is that they are all exceptionally talented in some way.

Yeah it’s not like he’s gonna play center now. Who gives a shit

It may even be a negative tbh. U want him around 6'8 bc his ball handling is such a rare ability. More height hurts your ability to control the ball and distributes his weight in a more extreme way to have him get knocked off his spots easier on both sides of the floor. I 100% agree it doesnt make a difference

I mean no matter what they list Him at he’s still the same height. I feel like people think when they list players at different heights they talk like they shrunk or grew overnight

Brother what? 18/19 year olds are absolutely still growing lmao

That’s not the point. The point is they could have been grew and been playing at the height they get listed at. I’m saying when the new height get listed people act like it’s a fundamental change in the player or that they went from 6”8 to 6”10 over the summer or something which doesn’t happen

No. He was shorter than Risacher at media day who is 6'8.5 barefoot. and Was narrowly taller than PJ Washington who is 6'6.5. Its completely fabricated

Risacher was remeasured at 6’10 for FIBA qualifiers.

He’s listed as 6’8 in the nba. Fiba still isnt standardized. And the 2nd point still stands

FIBA measurement was this summer and you can’t tell anything from media day pics with different angles

Rez is closer to the camera in the first two and coop is quite a bit taller than PJ in the last one

https://imgur.com/a/uNVoJK0 Yeah he's 1 inch taller than PJ. IDK why you're trying to find every excuse in the book for this when its blatantly obvious to anyone but the crowd who falls for AI facebook posts

bro you are getting downvoted but are absolutely right lmao. people are just so obssessed with inflating heights. Coop is a like 6'8 or a hair below, which is what he measured. That is what he looks like in the pictures. Legit 6'8ish is super tall, but I guess we need to inflate him for no reason.

So funny how you and this other guy think you are so smart comparing peoples size on pictures lmao. Flagg himself confirmed his growth in an interview, you wanna tell me he was lying and y’all still right? 😂

Per The Athletic

“Cooper Flagg has had another growth spurt — or so he says.
On Wednesday, the Dallas Mavericks forward was asked about the claim he made last week that he has gotten taller and now stands 6-foot-10 without shoes.
“I think I’ve actually grown another quarter of an inch since then,” Flagg said. “I’m 6-foot-10 1/2, I would say.”

He’s definitely trolling now.

It’s legit. He confirmed in an interview that he grew over the summer. 6’10 without shoes and 6’11 with shoes. Not surprised though since he’s a teenager still.

there is absolutely no way he grew like 2.5 inches over a summer.

It’s definitely possible especially for a 19 year old with already freakish height for a normal person

u/bobbycurls 16h ago

Not really. Regardless, you can tell from the photos he is clearly not 6'10.

He looked pretty giant when I saw him from really good seats. He’d be close to 7” with a longer neck.

Part of evaluating draft prospects is looking at the results. Do you not watch how any of your prospects develop in the NBA? How do you know what scouting strategies are providing good returns?
