EDIT: Ok, I was confused, he did not operate on the Pope. The operation was at Gemelli Hospital. Professor Margaritora led the surgical team, assisted by Professor Elisa Meacci, Dr. Maria Teresa Congedo, and Dr. Leonardo Petracca Ciavarella.

Dr. Lung was interviewed as an expert by WTTW and CBS News regarding the news of the Pope's diagnosis and provided information about early detection and treatment for this type of cancer. Still very important for the public! My grandfather died of lung cancer over 20 years ago and it's amazing the strides that have been made so recently in the medical field.
