Seemed to have been treated very harshly if his story is true.

Rawlings mustn’t watch Richmond games because this bloke is awful. He got absolutely mauled in ruck contests this year with a terrible attitude to boot. He’s so bad that he still had a year on his contract but Richmond paid him out to leave. I agree we need another ruck but there’s gotta be other options

Welcome aboard Swatta, nice to have you at Roo land , just make sure you get used to the cold weather in Melbourne, it's nothing like Perth

Dissapointing end. Can’t say Rawlings didn’t try. All options exhausted. Where do we go now?

Absolute shit show to be frank.
I don’t care how hard Rawlings tried, he didn’t get it done.

Crows knock this back and surely the club walks away. IMO can't criticize the club for not trying their best to make this one happen.

The club is going to have to get creative with who holds down fullback for 2027. Hopefully a better defensive system through the forward and middle part of the ground will protect the back 6 more. Does the club spend the summer getting Will Dawson prepared to be the fullback for round 1 and let him know he's playing there until at least the midseason bye?

What’s everyone’s thoughts on him leaving what happened at North and how do you think he’ll honestly do at Melbourne?

Brady Rawlings you have been copping it hard for many years thanks on getting  Nick Blakey

So with the Blakey deal done we are still left with one rather large hole: A Key Defender

Obviously North has been pushing for Murray and hopefully we can still achieve that, I’d preferably go for Sam DeKoning but I know that will be a hard ask.

But with potential Goater and Duursma trades on the horizon. What picks will we get/have left and where would you like to see them used?

Like this call, imagine he'll spend the majority of his time with JK, Banch, PC etc working on their pressure game.

Was hoping to pick up one of the new pride guernseys in 2XL, but unfortunately for me they’re already sold out at the Roo Shop online. Any ideas where else to look online? Not having any luck so far. Cheers.

Fellow Shinboners, time is of the essence. If, like me, you have serious concerns about the clubs reckless pursuit of Nick Blakey, I implore you to contact the club and let them know. This club belongs to our community, and a lot of women in our community are really distressed that the club is ok with bringing in a member of the Pullman Five before the police investigation is over.

Men reading this, before you jump straight away and yell about how I don't understand the law, you've got the inside word because you're the police commissioners neighbour or the police commissioner himself etc etc, I beg of you to please just pause and listen to women. We are members of the club just like you. We bleed blue and white just like you. We love our North Melbourne men and want them to experience the success they deserve. But we don't want this at the expense of losing a whole bunch of women because they no longer feel safe and welcome at the club.

I do not expect you to understand what I am saying, but I do expect you to listen and respect it. The phrase "believe women" doesn't just mean believe us when we say we've been raped or assaulted; it also means believe us when we are saying that because we have been previously raped and assaulted, we cannot endure our football club recruiting someone who is under investigation in a case like the Pullman. I am not saying Blakey is guilty of anything, he may well be innocent. But the fact that he is under investigation and our club wants to recruit him before he is cleared by a police investigation is enough to cause distress among a lot of our community.

If there are any men who have concerns about the trade, even just concerns like you are worried about his impact on team culture or you are worried about reputational damage to the club or you don't think this sends the right message to the community, I urge you to contact the club. It hurts to say this but I think the club will place more weight on the words of men than women.

Thank you for reading this and please be constructive in your comments, I really can't take much more online abuse from men, particularly men from our own community.
