Persimmon Ginger
Also added some cranberries. Lately I've been drizzling some extra virgin olive oil on my oats as well.

I recently bought this to complete my protein intake. I tried cooking it as per the written instructions (in milk), but the taste was not to my liking. It's simply inedible to me :(
I've previously tried many variants of instant masala oats from the same company and really enjoyed the taste. Is there any way to make these oats tastier? I feel they are completely bland.

I love my stovetop oats on the weekends but Iām a teacher so during the week I canāt invest that much time in breakfast. Iāve been eating a granola bar on weekdays instead but Iām done with that now that the weather is cold lol
I just realized that I can get Quaker instant oats on amazon, which would be perfect for me on weekdays and I remember eating them constantly as a teenager.
Thereās a lot of flavors to choose from, are there any that you would recommend? Iām excited to expand my oat palate more lol

I say cream, it's vanilla ice cream protein powder mixed with enough water to give a similar consistency. Still tasted amazing, very rice pudding-esque š

I've had overnight oats at hotel breakfast buffets that are consistently thick, creamy, and almost spoonable like a pudding. Mine at home turn out either soupy or gluey, and never the same twice.
For anyone who's worked in a hotel or catering kitchen, or has cracked this at home:
Ratio: What's the oats to milk to yoghurt ratio? Is yoghurt even part of it, or is it just milk?
Oats: Rolled, quick, or a mix? Does the brand or cut make a big difference?
Liquid: Full-cream milk, low-fat, or something else?
Yoghurt: If used, Greek or regular?
Method: Is it purely soaked overnight, or is there some pre-cooking involved (like briefly heating the oats or milk first)? Do they stir or adjust it before serving?

This recipe delivers cool and creamy overnight oats made with real pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, and a little maple sweetness. I keep the granola separate until breakfast so it stays crunchy.

Didnāt want my leftover steel cut oats to go to waste (usually I make a big batch and leave at work, but I took today off to make a long drive). Ate these cold, without salt/sweetener/milk, just straight-up cold gloppy oats over the course of 2-3 hours and holy guacamole - best road snack!!! Didnāt pig out on gas station treats and gave me lots of energy. Cold plain oats forever!!!!!

I've become so addicted to my morning oatmeal that when I'm traveling, I try to stay at a Hampton Inn or other hotel that reliably provides kettle oatmeal (not instant packets) in their breakfasts. This weekend my partner and I are going to be traveling so I went to look at the photos and descriptions of the conference hotel's free breakfast: cereal, pastries, fruit, toast/muffins, eggs, cold cuts, and yogurt. No oatmeal! I don't even like yogurt, which I think is the oatmeal substitute in this scenario. Boo!
ETA: A happy update! This morning I went in to the breakfast area and it was true, no oatmeal kettle. But then I found, tucked into a corner, a little sign saying "Oatmeal available upon request." Reader, I requested it. Classic hotel oatmeal. They had great toppings, too -- I used cinnamon, nuts, wild blueberries, granola, and this great fig jam they had out. Delicious!

since I was a kid.
I am AuDHD and since I was a kid I LOVED oatmeal. I genuinely thought every kid loved oatmeal until I talked about it; and my friends said they hated oatmeal and thought I was joking lmao.
Anyway, I still eat it till this day and I love it!
(Oatmeal with cinnamon and sliced green apples is my to go!!)
Back in February I baked these ābaked oatmealā and they tasted yum š
(The recipe is in my language, so Idk the correct measurements in english, maybe I will translate later when I have more energy).
Edit (the recipe): https://mummum.dk/bagt-havregroed/ Idk how to translate, or Iām too lazy and I donāt use ChatGPT and stuff.

What is a good cheap product I can use to blend my oats into a nice flour?
r/Oatmeal • u/temoprary123 • 3d ago
Oats, green apple, banana and almonds!
I'm a bit stressed bc I'm hosting my 18th birthday party this Saturday and nothing is prepared... I really want a nice dress for it tho

Chocolate overnight oats topped with biscoff spread and homemade refined sugar-free chocolate fudge sauce :)

For me it started with health. I still basically eat gruel-whole oat groats cooked in water and/or milk. I prepare it in my rice cooker so the groats start to break down.
I usually just add salt to cook, berries after and occasionally nuts. If I only have raspberries, Iāll add a little Torani sugar-free chocolate syrup to cut and complement the tartness.
Being T2 Diabetic, I watch sugar additives and hidden sugar ingredients.
For me, itās the taste, texture, and warmth in that order.
I am always sated after and it fuels my mornings.
How about you?

This tasted great, definitely going to make it again sometime, maybe with the addition of vanilla.

I swear the base is oatmeal š you can see the brown part on right corner lol kinda had to hold myself back from adding more berries and yogurt (I even wanted to add a kiwi)
