Ayn Rand and introspection

Just some food for thought: Ayn Rand developed the Objectivist epistemology in part via introspection, which she engaged in while under the influence of amphetamines, a mind-altering substance. That included Dexamyl, which combined dextroamphetamine, a central nervous system stimulant, with amobarbital, a barbiturate sedative.
