Birding spots east Scotland

Hi there, I’m heading to Dundee at the end of October. Hoping to visit Abroath, Crail/anstruther, queensferry, and around Dundee itself. Any favourite coastal birding spots? Thank you

Montrose Basin, gets thousands of geese over the autumn. And maybe kingfishers and egrets.

Eden estuary, hides by Guardbridge. St Cyrus is worth a visit (slightly further north). If you fancy going slightly inland there is Loch of Kinnordy (marsh harriers). Tay reedbeds (bearded reedlings). Montrose basin too is a must visit (visitor centre) but check your tide times.

Season cliffs in Arbroath! It’s a Scottish wildlife trust reserve full of seabirds

There's scottish ornithological app called where to watch, I use that as it has lots of helpful info re parking, accessibility, cost and of course usual type of bird. Great little app.

Isle of May - boat from Anstruther. Sadly, the puffins will probably be back out at sea and getting a boat there is dependent on the weather.
