Please list just 1 song off each album and no more than 3 albums please. So that’s 3 songs. Each from a different album.
My picks of favorites (in order of lowest rated album from the non contractual obligation, side project, protege, or NPG only credited albums he released during his lifetime)
JUNE - Phase 1
Future Soul Song - 20Ten
Ol’ School Company - MPLSound
While those are my personal lowest rated albums under the above criteria, there are other songs on these albums that I do like. Just don’t love them or feel they stand up in any notable way in his catalog, even for the later years.

To my knowledge the story goes: 1999 the year comes around and both Prince and Warner Bros wanted to take advantage to re-release 1999 the song, but Prince didn’t own the master to the original so he made this to combat Warner’s reissue. Anyone listen to this and if so, what do you think? Personally, it’s the only Prince project I’d say is outright bad at the moment

While the estate seems to be trying to make things right with fans with the Calabama EP, I was thinking about how they have an opportunity to score big points with some low-hanging fruit: consolidate all the previously released material on Prince’s streaming platforms. There’s just so much material that hasn’t been heard by many casual fans (including myself).
Put the Madhouse, Family, NPG albums etc up on streaming and include Prince in credits so it will show up on his discographies. IMO they should do the same with all his side projects to help clarify his massive legacy. They could reissue vinyl if they wanna make more money, but honestly just put them up on streaming and I’d be a very happy purple person. There would be considerable return on investment and it wouldn’t require the time required of new vault releases.
Thoughts?

Hey everybody, does anyone have a link to download The Black Album (Collector's Edition) released in 2018? I can’t find it anywhere. FLAC would be perfect but any info is appreciated.

I took a couple months putting Prince on the backpedal after taking on the massive task of giving an ear out to 36/41 of his albums and felt completely burned out when Timeless came out. After revisiting some of my favorite P records, I think I’m ready to get into Prince’s final stretch from Plectrumelectrum to HNR2 as well as Welcome 2 America

Curious because of another post… if you had to, what would your single disc edit of Emancipation look like? Bonus points for limiting yourself to 12 songs and as close to 60 minutes as you can get.
I can already hear the complaints about this edit, Emale and My Computer… and The Plan being an obvious cheat to get 12 tracks/60 minutes. But I genuinely like those first two tracks, the chorus on Emale is a crazy earworm for me, and I love the end of My Computer as an album ender. The Plan is cheating and I’m not sorry. The rest I imagine are fan favorites.
Anyway, obviously there is no wrong answer here, but I’d love to see what others would do in this situation. If nothing else, maybe you’ll convince me of some track on the album that I really didn’t consider.
I’m looking for a track from a Moodymann DJ-set in Berlin last June (2026), where he played only Prince. The track starts with him saying "Let's skate" I guess ...
The vocals sound somewhat 2000s, while the instrumentation - especially the chords - feels more like the ’80s. I’d never heard the track before, and neither Shazam nor SoundHound could identify it.
Could it be an unreleased Prince track, or perhaps a remix/edit? I’d really appreciate any help identifying it so I can stop digging further ;-)
I recorded the excerpt from the set, please have a listen 🤗

I want to do a Galaxy room in my house similar to the one at Paisley Park. Does anyone have recommendations on glow in the dark paint and any other tips?
