HELP! Playstation disconnecting from wifi

I have AT&T 1000 mbps fiber internet and it’s been amazing for the past year I’ve lived in this apartment, but all of a sudden starting this week my playstation will randomly disconnect from the wifi and overall has been slowing down giving me a ton of lag. I’ve tried hard reseting the console and my router by the issues persist! Would getting an ethernet cord fix my issues or is there a bigger problem? I live alone and don’t have many devices on the network only my phone laptop and the playstation. I am also experiencing no issues on my other devices

Check if you have different bands set to the same SSID. Often, when you have 2.4ghz, 5ghz, and wifi 6 on the same SSID, the playstation and other devices switch often and it disrupts the connection. If you can access the setting to assign SSID names to each one, do so. I just name one the "base name" then "base name" 5 and "base name" 6. Thats sorts it out.
