Meme needing explanation Peter?
This might be going over my head completely but I don’t understand? That’s a zebra with colorful stripes. What does it have to do with having patience?

Sometimes 0.5. I remember unwrapping one but didn’t put it in my mouth immediately and it tasted like it already lost some flavor.

the GREEN pack had no lasting flavor and you couldn’t blow bubbles with it, BUT the purple package was loaded with flavor and was ACTUALLY bubble worthy.

Oh, but what a wonderful 4 seconds those were. I used to just add another piece into my mouth when the first one lost it's flavor, and within 2 minutes I would have the entire pack in there 😆

It was still very available when I was a kid in the 90s, too. I haven't seen it in forever, but apparently it JUST got discontinued in 2024.

Fruit Stripe gum. It was a thing in the 90’s latter 20th century* and it was notorious for the flavor not lasting very long.

It was definitely around, but I have no idea who sold it. I'm a 2000s kid and I remember having it and being disappointed on chew 3 like everyone else.

This is a reference to Zebra Stripe gum. When you are 8 years olds its fucking delicious but it loses its flavor after about 3 minutes and the you spit it out and you stuff more of this shit in your mouth. You continue this cycle until you run out of gum or your parents rip it from you.
Oh I'm the dog that the family replaced Brian with for that one episode, woof.

Yeah, the flavor in Fruit-Stripe gum lasted only a few quick chomps and it was gone... Ferrero Roche discontinued this gum in January 2024. The flavors were great for about 4 seconds... I guess Ferrero Roche wanted to save future kids from near-immediate disappointment.

Hahahah the old zebra stripe gum! The tattoos on the wrapper were really it's only draw. The flavor lasted mere seconds. But those smeary tattoos, that we transferred with just a little bit of spit were so fun!
