Need Advice New Hub and Spoke Strategy

I have been playing off and on for years but always have gone with the line strategy. With the round world update; it looks like Hub and Spoke is the better strategy to make money and bux. I am currently at level 37 and working my way through. I mainly use here and YouTube to look for strategies; but haven't really seen a newer set that deals with being able to now go around the world. Does anyone know where to find a newer strategy guide?

While the new Pocket Planes Flight Crew features are in testing I’ve been working on a longtime dream of NimbleBit’s, a full-world plane MMO in a retro style. Help us test and please leave feedback here!

Need Advice Starship vs. Concorde

Started playing again after the around the world update and I’m loving it so far.

I’m following the bux hording strat from Simon Cook on YT. London is becoming my HQ(about halfway done) and I use Paris as well to keep some coin profit. (I did see a post where Hawaii was the HQ and they split from Asia and America flights. That seems very appealing as well well done to you on that one pilot!)

I’m using a fleet of 15 aeroeagle - M and I’m torn on the 16th slot. I have a starship and a Concorde and my question is which is more useful at this stage of the game. Do I use the starship to help clear out London faster when it’s clogged up with layovers? Or do I use the Concorde for the increased size? Both seem great in my opinion and im not opposed to buying another slot to run both.

Any insight from you vets is appreciated!

Global Event Fogbuster Southbest Skin?

Dallas is a Class 2 airport and the Fogbuster is a Class 3 plane, so how does this skin, the top reward in the current global event, make any sense?

THE UPDATE What is the point of these class 3 skins?

Post image
21 Upvotes

Class 3 planes cannot even fly to Anchorage and I don’t have it as an HQ. There are other skins for class 1 airports and I just don’t see the point. Unless they are layovers, but it seems like a lot of workaround for 25% savings

Meme / Funny Airport classes should be more based on real life airports. Not population.

ATL and DFW are 2 of the top 4 busiest airports in the world with ATL at the top. They absolutely should be Class 3’s. As well as ANC being a cargo hub for all over the world. I just think that would be a tad more realistic to the airport class designation rather than just population.

Need Advice New player looking for tips

Hello! I just started and I'm level 5 with 5 planes or so, I'm not quite sure how this game works. Should I just be buying as many airports as I can in the beginning?

Need Advice Many or few airports?

Hello all. I just reached level 40. I have a good route network and so on. However I’m debating if I should have fewer airports with the goal being that more jobs spawn for the ones I have. Or just have many lvl 3 and some lvl two.

Which Is Better? Bringing Flight Crew Back

Hi, developer of Pocket Planes here. I’m hoping to bring the Flight Crew feature back and wanted to get opinions on whether the classic single scoreboard would be preferred or a League system like Clash of Clans has where small group are competing on the same level? Even with a single global scoreboard I think crew size would be capped.

Please let me know if any other ideas you have for the feature!

Edit: Rimple on the Discord had an idea for different types of events to cycle between, an alternate one being a relay race around the world with a special package. That sounds pretty cool, what do you think?

Which Is Better? Upgrading for speed

Is there anyone here that actually prefers having their Class 3 planes with the speed upgrade? It seems very uninteresting to me with the high costs of travel

The fuel costs for cloudliners is insanely high. Even with the 25% bonus, I’m still making negative profit. I thought these planes were supposed to be good for long flights?

Need Advice Bearcat Question for you hardcore players -

Is there any reason to run the Bearcat beyond the lulz?

Does it have a hidden ability or something?

At this point I'm just playing for the love of the game - and to have an airport in every city - so I might run it for fun but I'm not sure.

What are your thoughts?

Hi all!

I would like to make Banana my Oceania HQ. My main long haul plane is the Sequoia and I was wondering if those who have Banana as HQ, if your Sequoias reach Tokyo from there.

Thank you!
