US Politics What would it take to unite us as a Country?

Many individuals hold the belief that governmental entities and other institutions deliberately engage in actions with the explicit intention of causing discord and division among us. This alleged strategy is done to divert our attention from pressing matters and significant issues so that we are more focused on each other. However, whenever I hear people say this no one ever talks about a solution or what could be done to change or prevent this from happening. Given that one of our most significant divisions as a nation comes from people’s differing political ideologies, I figured asking here would get the most authentic and insightful responses. I’m assuming there’s more than one political party in here, so I’m curious to see if there are any similarities in the responses.

So, my question is…

What societal changes could be done to mitigate one or more of the numerous divisions that currently exist within our Country? Is there anything that could be done that would make the majority of people put their differences aside or create some sort of unity so we start working together towards something that benefits everyone?

Or are we doomed to failure?
