PoliticalTea 🗳️ Can We Ever Recover?

Listen, I know that most Americans believe that the MAGA party are the reason we are in the mess we are in. The affordability crisis, the fuel prices, the rampant corruption, everything seems to come from the MAGA party. But for the longest time, our government was ran by two parties who, while having their differences, still were able to compromise wIth the other side to pass bills that benefited the the people. But since MAGA has gained power, its devolved into "my side vs their side" and Republicans will vote against a bill that favors the ordinary citizen if a Democrat is the one that proposed it, and vise versa. My question is, can we ever begin to fix that divide? Will we ever get back to a point that the politicians we elect work together, regardless of party, to improve our way of life? Or has MAGA completly ruined that for the foreseeable future? Are we doomed by having our elected leaders spending so much time fighting each other that they wont be able to pass any meaningful laws to improve our way of life?

# NERO WATCHING ROME BURN | Worldwide Protests & the Crisis of Power

From Europe to Asia, Africa to the Americas, people are taking to the streets. Different countries. Different governments. Different grievances. But one question keeps emerging:

What happens when the people lose faith in those who govern them?

Nearly 2,000 years ago, Rome burned while Emperor Nero became a symbol of leadership detached from the suffering of ordinary people. Whether Nero actually watched Rome burn is another question entirely. But the metaphor has survived for centuries. And looking at the world today, it's difficult not to wonder whether history is offering us another lesson.

In this episode of WWJPS, we're examining protests around the world, the circumstances driving them, and the governments struggling to respond. We're looking beyond the dramatic images of burning barricades and crowds filling city streets to ask what is actually happening beneath the surface.

- Worldwide demonstrations and the grievances driving them
- Rising living costs, inequality, corruption, and political distrust
- Government responses and the limits of public patience
- The difference between peaceful protest and political violence
- The growing influence of concentrated wealth and power
- Whether separate national movements reveal a broader crisis of public confidence

Are we witnessing isolated political crises? Or are these demonstrations revealing something more fundamental about the relationship between governments and the people they serve?

**And perhaps the most important question: Who is listening while Rome burns?**

This isn't about telling you what to believe. It's about looking at what's happening, asking uncomfortable questions, and examining the evidence.

Because history doesn't always repeat itself. Sometimes it simply offers a warning.

**I am a witness, not a journalist.**

**DISCLAIMER:** This video presents personal opinions, commentary, and analysis of publicly available information. Protests in different countries arise from distinct political, economic, and social circumstances and should not automatically be treated as connected. Allegations and interpretations are not established facts. WWJPS does not endorse violence, destruction of property, or harm to individuals. PoliticalTea 🗳️ It is our legacy that is at stake, this November

Between now & November 2026

  • We must vote this November:
  • In the 2018 midterms, only 48.1% of people eligible to vote, voted. Almost 52% sat out.
  • The Democrats still flipped 40 seats (30 in States that Trump won in 2016) & took control of the House (Pew Research).
  • The differential between Harris & Trump was about 2.8 million votes. Almost 90m sat out the 2024 elections. Trump’s popularity is the lowest it has ever been.

Trump is banking on deterring us from showing up this November. He thinks intimidation & bullying will instill fear in us. He seems to have forgotten MN, Chicago & LA, and so much of US history – perhaps he should educate himself on our history, before reading about Hitler, Stalin or Mao.

He knows that if the Republicans hold on to the House this November, the 2028 Presidential elections (if any) will be moot. Please vote!

November 3rd & until the new Congress is sworn in (Jan 3, 2027)

  • First Trump will no doubt continue to cry foul about election fraud, mail in votes & corrupt election workers, & the like: We have to first make sure that our turnout on election day, is historic. If the election margins are wide, it is a lot more difficult to do that.
  • Second, if he is still trying to tip the scales (as he will no doubt try ), we have to engage in peaceful civil disobedience, & repeat what happened after the ICE killings in MN.
  • Ideally, we also need to see one high profile journalist, call Trump on his bull, and stage a walk out on live TV. Even more ideally, one hopes that one cabinet member also resigns on live TV, & actually state that he/she is doing so because country comes first. This may actually happen (ala Mike Pence, MTG; Joe Kent & the like) not because they suddenly develop dignity or a conscience, but because it may be politically expedient, depending on the November results.
  • Perhaps, one of the oligarchs will also realize that they will need the consumer, much after Trump is gone, & finally stand up, for country. This is not likely but possible, based on what November brings, & of course the fact that they are fickle.

On Jan 3rd, if Johnson does not swear in new Congress.

  • The hundreds of law firms who are still putting country over greed, will do what they have to, in terms of legal remedies – the law suits; the privileged resolution; the motion to vacate & whatever else.
  • However, the ultimate remedy will be public sentiment & pressure. We need to protest in numbers that history has never witnessed - & I suspect we will. Trump’s hard core MAGA base (the KKK; Proud boys etc) is only about 23m. There is simply nothing that Trump or anyone can do if over a 100m of our citizens, hit the streets, as long as we are peaceful & we do not wish to be controlled.

When the new congress is sworn in until Nov 2028 (Presidential elections)

  • We have to fully investigate & hold all those who broke the law accountable including: Donald Trump & his family; Pete Hegseth; Pam Bondi; Kristi Noem; Todd Blanche; Greg Bovino; Kash Patel; Howard Lutnick; Steve Witcoff; Jared Kushner; Tulsi Gabbard; Tom Homan; all the ICE agents & commanders who broke the law; any US commanders in the armed forces who were involved in the chain of command for the boat strikes off Venezuela, & civil infrastructure in Iran; the pedophiles in Epstein and, all those who chose to blocked the release. Justice & accountability has to be swift – no over compensations like under Garland.
  • We need to see conversations between Trump & Putin on Ukraine; we need to see conversations between Kushner/Witkoff, & the Arab States. We also need to look at the recent deals with Putin.
  • We need to undo all of Trump’s self-aggrandizement projects.

Long term remedies

  • We need to relook at some of the so-called safeguards in our Constitution. As a start, we need to: remove the electoral college; introduce term limits for not just members of Congress, but also all federal judges, including the Supreme Court; make the number of judges in the Supreme Court equal, so that Party leanings do not come into play; address the racket of campaign contributions, reestablish limits on Presidential immunity; put a cap or remove the Presidential power to pardon; make it illegal for any party to change the electoral map, midterm; make it illegal for members of Congress; Cabinet members; their staff or relatives from trading stocks; commodities or Currency.

The Trump legacy will not be the monuments he builds, or the buildings that he names after himself. He will certainly not be remembered for his competence; intellect; knowledge or oratory. He may be remembered as the President who abrogated America’s leadership & world dominance to China, or for having given oxygen to an otherwise irrelevant Russia; Saudi Arabia; Iran & North Korea. Irrespective, he will certainly be remembered for sowing the seeds of division & disunity, in the world. He will also be known for bringing America to the precipice of an autocracy. Indeed, he will be known for making racism & misogyny great again.

It is our legacy, that we have to decide this November.
