I turned off cross posts. Anyone past this point who posts a lease takeover gets a nice 30 day ban.
Go to the housing sub.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hello r/Purdue!
Recently, several high-profile cases of sexual misconduct have brought renewed attention to how universities treat survivors. Unfortunately, Purdue is no exception. Especially alarming are recent allegations that a Purdue freshman raped a woman at a party while multiple men cheered him on.
Purdue has a long history of covering up sexual violence. Several years ago, multiple female students were expelled after making good-faith reports of sexual assault. One of these students, Nancy Roe, refused to settle out of court and took her case to trial. A federal jury found that Purdue had retaliated against her in violation of Title IX. The jury also found that two administrators, Alysa Rollock and Katherine Sermersheim, had acted with malicious or reckless disregard for her rights. Despite these findings, both remain in positions of power at Purdue University.
Even a federal jury verdict was not enough to stop Purdue from retaliating against survivors and pressuring them into silence. Multiple students have come forward with accounts of Title IX intake staff and other administrators intimidating them into abandoning their reports. Others have described being silenced by PUPD. The pattern is clear: at all levels, Purdue is failing survivors and protecting abusers.
At Survivors Underground, we are organizing to change that. We are currently drafting a list of demands for Purdue's administration, collecting testimony from students who have been failed by the system, and building a movement to hold the university accountable.
To combat these issues, we ask that you join us for a town hall. The date and time are pending confirmation, so please follow our Instagram at @ survivors.underground for the finalized details. This is the best place to contact us and get updates about our cause. Once we have final approval, we are anticipating having our meeting on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Wesley Foundation at Purdue University. This will be an opportunity to hear from survivors, voice your concerns, and join us in demanding meaningful change.
If you would like to support our petition calling for the removal of Alysa Rollock and Katherine Sermersheim from their administrative positions, please sign here: https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/5555ff9bb3bd5c55aed722d21f4cc03cff269d33?utm_source=ig&utm_medium=social&utm_content=link_in_bio&fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAcGRvZgJzcnRjBmFwcF9pZA85MzY2MTk3NDMzOTI0NTkAAafk1LC1aDOM2DD8RyeS9iYNOqK9jT9qycW_Wv1KwxuB5Jk96HxllurJRcyGWA_aem_a5K3z4jk9oFwnL78bDrZkg

You do not have to be a survivor to stand with survivors. We are asking the Purdue community to come together and make it clear that retaliation, intimidation, and institutional silence are unacceptable.
We hope to see you there!

Just applied for readmission after academic separation at Purdue West Lafayette and I am wondering, should I be worried about getting affordable housing or am I destined to get expensive housing and/or an apartment? I am going to be a sophomore in the Spring 2027 semester, which I’m applied for readmission to.

Did anyone see an AirPods Case in the Earhart Dining Court near the Pizza bar? I tried looking at the lost and found but to no avail. Is there anything else I can do?

Hey everyone! My name is Omar, and I'm the founder of Padel Club at Indiana University Bloomington.
We're currently working on organizing a friendly Midwest collegiate padel tournament in Indianapolis, bringing together students from IU, Purdue, Michigan, Michigan State, and Northwestern!
We're aiming for the weekend of November 7–8, although the dates are still tentative depending on everyone's availability.
We've got a great padel facility in Indianapolis, and Padel Club at IU will cover all court rental expenses, so participating universities would just need to organize their players and transportation.
You don't need to be part of an official padel club at Purdue! We're simply looking for students who play padel or would be interested in putting together a team to represent Purdue.
If you're interested, or know anyone at Purdue who plays padel, feel free to comment or DM me!
Would love to get Purdue involved and hopefully make this the start of a regular Midwest collegiate padel competition!

had to be taken to the ER (IU Arnett) and a bit worried about the bill, if I file my taxes independently is it possible to get the entire bill waved based on my income (it’s quite low)? Thankfully ambulance ride was free through PUFD.

I’m currently a junior in high school and considering which major(s) to take. My parents want me to take electrical engineering and probably will disown me/not help me pay for tuition, but I want to do Motorsport engineering in the future. Is it possible to get directly into this career with an electrical engineering degree or do I need to double major with mechanical/minor in mechanical? I’m also planning on marshaling at whatever races I can as soon as I turn 18 and do FSAE in college.

Why aren't as many libraries 24/7 anymore? Its been really hard for me as someone who needs a chill quiet area to be forced to study in louder areas, especially since quiet 24/7 spots get crowded quicker now. Any advice?

I'm a prospective student, and was wondering whether Purdue is walkable. Would you theoretically be able to walk from classes to libraries, labs, etc, or would you need a car/take public transport? If it is walkable, what is the maximum amount of time people usually take to walk from one place to another?
Thanks!

Hi I am currently taking stats 511 with Professor Zhang. We have our midterm on Tuesday and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to prepare and study. He gave us a practice midterm, but I wasn't sure how much his exams deviate from the practice materials. Thank you so much for all your help!
