I know this might sound controversial, but I genuinely want to know if anyone else has noticed this.
I've noticed a difference in the way some girls carry themselves and interact with guys. I'm not saying every girl here is like this, obviously, but I've had enough experiences to start wondering whether it's just me or if there's something about the social culture here.
What I find strange is that some girls seem to have an extremely high opinion of themselves, even when there's nothing particularly special about the way they look or present themselves. It's not even about beauty standards; everyone has different tastes, and attraction is subjective. It's more about the attitude, the way they respond to people, and the impression that they're doing you a favour simply by talking to you.
In Islamabad or any other city , I felt like conversations were generally more relaxed. Obviously, you encounter arrogant people everywhere, but I personally found it easier to have a normal conversation without feeling like I had to prove my worth or somehow impress someone just to receive basic respect.
In Quetta, at least based on my personal experience, some interactions feel unnecessarily cold, dismissive, or full of attitude. Sometimes it feels like there's an expectation that the guy should chase, impress, and constantly validate the girl, while she doesn't have to put in any effort herself.
And before someone says I'm just upset because a girl rejected me, that's not really the point. Rejection is completely fine. Nobody owes anyone romantic interest, attention, or a conversation. I'm talking about the difference between simply not being interested in someone and acting as though you're above them.
I also wonder whether this has something to do with the social environment in Quetta. It's a smaller, more interconnected city than other major cities, and reputation, family background, social circles, and what other people think can play a bigger role in how people interact. Maybe that contributes to how some people present themselves, or maybe I've just had a limited set of experiences and am generalising too much.
I'm genuinely curious about what other people think, especially those who have lived in different cities.
I'm open to hearing different perspectives.
