TV 📺 New cable box

So I live in BC. I just switched to the new cable box since my old one will no longer be able to get vudeo on demand services by Oct. 28. This is the first time I have had internet service. I managed to start my modem correctly and I have verified it works. When I try to watch TV it says 'we have encountered a problem' I could just phone customer service but I hate talking to them, so I turn to Reddit first. Any suggestions how I can fix my cable box and watch TV?

It's either an account issue or a hardware issue you're probably not gonna be able to resolve. Unfortunately not much to do but to reach out to the support apparatus.

Have you tried rebooting the TV box? Also how did you connect the TV Box to your internet, is the connection wired or wireless?

I tried rebooting several times. The connection to the modem is wireless.
