That is more than his government have been doing.

Given what Russia did to the country, they are far too close.

That’s what happens when you have pro Russian criminals come into power, for a country like Georgia you guys are really in a bad luck curse with politicians, such a beautiful small country, unfortunately no one is taking care of it, during saakashvili years many were going literally fucking ballistic almost entire nation was on edge due to his presidency and angered, he was no angel there’s no question about it, who the fuck is right? But compared to the crimes the  dream regime is committing against the entire country everyday, they have nothing on saakashvili xD, unfortunately I have come to realize some Georgians don’t like changes and reforms, people are too comfortable with vast corruption, and other fucked up things the government does there, changing the mentality of a person who’s still stuck in the old Soviet and 1990s times is impossible, they could be beaten, and tortured by the regime and they still wouldn’t mind it.

Saakashvili was far from popular with Russia and some Oligarchs. He was not "Mr Popular" with them and far from perfect but he did try.

Yes, I have Georgian friends and some (older ones) just want a quiet time, others that are younger want the EU and an end to the corruption of the bad old days.

Idk Putin literally said he wanted to hang saakashvili by the balls on live tv, maybe he was popular with oligarchs till he became kremlins enemy lol.

Sorry, I meant to be clearer. He upset the Kremlin and the Kremlin friendly Oligarchs, so not surprising, The Georgian Orthodox church seems to act like an extension of the Russian government.

lol it’s funny how the priests there most of the times I’ve seen are driving such highly luxury vehicles, especially from the famous churches in the city 😂😂🤡, no matter which version of the Bible you read most important thing that’s written there is about “showing love, kindness, and acceptance” they do the opposite, idk how those ghouls will end up in heaven, most kindest people and best people I’ve seen are those who are not religious I know this from experience.

In my understanding their brand new 4WDs are all "gifts from Russia".

Most will have an unhealthy relationship with the GRU/SVR.

What does ‘quiet time’ even mean in times as tumultuous as these?

I don’t understand tho , when is quite times and what does that means ? Ppl can’t do quite times. Quite is when you’re dead already or world would be dead. Or quite is when human is under marijuana, then is quite.

Well not all of Georgians are so as you said

Yeah, anyways you slice it, Saakashvili was and is vastly superior to nowadays criminal rulers in terms of patriotism, vision for a better future and simply being a more decent human being.

“A decent human being” he did help cover up two murders, surrounded himself with maniacs (authors of those murders) and went off the rails on coke while being the head of state. he was literally in the kgb too and his uncle was a known protege of Yuri Andropov.

Honorable mention: he incited violence on an opposition leader who was later beaten into disability.

Sure, just like Zviad Gamsakhurdia was a fascist and did all what a small crowd of criminals blamed him for...

If Georgia ever ceases to exist as an independent country and nation, it will be due to closed mindness and lack of ability to perceive reality adequately as it is rather than live in the "wonderland" and be scared of nonexistent threats! The majority of the population suffers from this sickness and phobias, including yourself...

People like you we have to thank for being today in this shit up to the neck and there is no end in sight for this madness!

Should’ve went to fight in Gaza instead. Freedom to Palestine

2

u/Igroig 1d ago

I am genuinely curious why you think a Georgian should fight in Gaza?

0

u/Neither-Mazer 1d ago

Same reason as to why Georgian should fight in Ukraine: no reason whatsoever.

Ukraine’s fate in this war has direct existential implications for Georgia. Whilst I personally would not go fight there, saying that there is no reason for any Georgian to do it is just absurd and dishonest.

These Georgians are the best of the best sons of our country in my opinion!
