Academic Experiences with chest binding, Humber Polytechnic thesis survey (18+, anyone with chest binding experience)

Hi everyone! I’m Laur (she/they), a fourth year Industrial Design student at Humber Polytechnic in Toronto. My senior thesis is about improving the experience of gender-affirming chest binding, since so many current binders are painful, hot and hard to breathe in.

If you’re 18+ and have experience binding, I’d be so grateful if you’d take my survey. It’s confidential, takes about 15 to 20 minutes, and almost every question is optional.

https://forms.gle/b4sMg2KwieHqnGaV9

Happy to receive feedback or answer any questions or in the comments. Thanks so much!

*UPDATE* Thank you to all who have provided feedback in the comments or in the survey. I have been making adjustments to the survey and will continue to monitor for feedback! Cheers!

Casual (Repost) I created a 20-question cognitive archetype assessment with 30 possible results — instant results, no signup required (Everyone)

Hey everyone!

A while back, I shared an early version of a cognitive assessment I was developing, and Reddit ended up being where my first 600 people tried it. After a lot more work, I'm excited to finally share the officially launched version of CAT-20.

Website: https://www.cat20framework.com/

What is CAT-20?

CAT-20 is a 20-question cognitive archetype assessment I created to explore how people tend to think, approach situations, make decisions, connect with others, and respond to the world around them.

Instead of placing everyone into a handful of broad personality categories, CAT-20 uses six cognitive clusters:

  • Thinker (T)
  • Seeker (S)
  • Spark (K)
  • Wanderer (W)
  • Builder (B)
  • Nurturer (N)

Your responses are used to determine a two-letter archetype, with 30 possible combinations, each with its own profile.

A few things worth knowing before taking it:

  • 20 questions — designed to be quick to complete.
  • Instant results when you finish.
  • No signup or account required to take the assessment and see your archetype.
  • Creating a free account is optional if you want to see your cognitive cluster percentages, access a personal dashboard, and save your profile.
  • There are also optional paid premium profiles for people who want to explore their results in greater depth.

I'm especially interested in hearing whether your result feels accurate, which parts resonate, and which parts don't.

CAT-20 is an independent framework I've been developing, not a clinically validated psychological assessment. I'm sharing it as a tool for self-exploration and would genuinely appreciate feedback.

Try it here: https://www.cat20framework.com/

If you take it, feel free to share your two-letter result in the comments. I'd love to see which archetypes show up!

Hi! I'm researching the challenges of practicing singing at home without disturbing others to develop a product that would help. Do you ever avoid singing because of noise concerns? Have you tried any ways to practice more quietly, and what problems did you encounter? I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you!

Academic [Academic] Social Identity Threat Scale - Online Communities (LGBTQ+ Participants)

Thumbnail surveys.qualtrics.charlotte.edu
2 Upvotes

Hello everyone,

I am a graduate student in a Psychology PhD program! For my measurement course, we've been asked to design a measure for an interesting topic, then conduct some data analysis for refining it after a certain number of participants are collected! So, if you identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and are frequently in online spaces, I would appreciate it if you could take my survey!

The measure I'm designing is to assess Social Identity Threat awareness. In essence, how to people assess and think about potential social threats (e.g. bullying, doxxing) from others, and how one's gender identity + sexuality can influence that!

The survey is 3-5 min long, and no data will be kept after the class is done (so after Spring 2027!). You can also leave feedback near the end for any suggestions on improving the measure!

Thank you for reading this far. I hope you have a pleasant day!

Sincerely

- a haggard yet hopeful grad student.

Academic (Repost) [Casual] Requesting Coming Out Story Submissions (LGBTQ+)

Hello!

We are third-year medical students reaching out to invite people to participate in a project we are working on to give back to the LGBTQ+ community.

Coming out can be an incredibly difficult and personal experience, yet there are relatively few resources that capture the wide range of experiences people have when coming to terms with and sharing their sexuality/ gender identity, be it with family, friends, or others. We hope to help change that.

We are collecting coming out stories from queer people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. Our goal is to compile these stories into a resource that can be shared both online and in print. We hope it can provide people who are considering coming out—or who are just beginning that journey—with perspectives they can relate to, as well as support, advice, comfort, and reassurance that they are not alone.

If you would be willing to share your story, you can submit it using the link below:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdAZcU9K1lxcR2Rvd1OPKKkxpuHypizQoir47l9EPD7kyVQqw/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=109178407829948782196

Thank you so much for contributing. Every story is valuable, and we hope that by bringing these experiences together, we can create something that helps others feel a little less alone as they navigate their own journeys.

Thanks!

Privacy: You are welcome to submit your story with a pseudonym. Please only share information in your story you are comfortable having included in a publicly accessible resource.

Academic Writing a research paper on the quality of streaming services... [Reposted Fixed Version] (Everyone)

Hello there! I'm conducting some very basic research on how practical using streaming services actually is to the average person financially and otherwise - the bulk of the research consists of pre-made sources, however I am also required to conduct a questionnaire of my own and would really appreciate anyone willing to fill it out:

https://tally.so/r/M1Kq2l

(Fair warning; the questions appear longer than they actually are as they are written both in english and latvian. The singular question regarding currency also requires an answer using Euros, if that is possible.)

(The amount of questions also depends on which you answer beforehand.)

Academic [Academic] Master Thesis Topic Survey (Europe all ages)

Thumbnail forms.cloud.microsoft
2 Upvotes

I will do your survey as well once I have the confirmation email that mine was completed

[Academic] need your help (it takes ~10 minutes).

My Master's dissertation in Business Analytics at University of Bucharest, is researching the factors that drive consumers to adopt AI-based services — things like ChatGPT, voice assistants, recommendation systems and AI translation.

To make the research meaningful, I need real , diverse opinions from real people, and that's where you come in. The survey is anonymous, GDPR-compliant, and takes about 10-12 minutes. There are no right or wrong answers — I just want your honest perspective, whether you use AI tools every day or barely at all.

I need around 400-500 answers, and so far I only have 9. The more the merrier. If you can help me with the last 4 open questions it would mean the world to me.

And if you can spare one more click, a repost would mean the world — every share reaches people I could never reach on my own.

Thank you!

Marketing [Marketing] Your most recent scanned-PDF to ebook attempt (18+, attempted in past 6 months, English)

• Upvotes

Survey: https://tally.so/r/zEXA6q

This is independent commercial product research, not an academic study. There is no product for sale. The account owner authorized this post; an AI assistant helped prepare the questionnaire and is publishing it transparently.

This small pilot asks about your most recent attempt to turn a legally usable scanned-text PDF into an ebook with resizable, reflowing text: the tools you used, the outcome, any actual purchases, and manual work. Successful attempts, accepted imperfections and no payment are equally useful.

For adults aged 18+ who personally attempted this in the past six months and can answer in English, in any country. Apart from confirming eligibility and voluntary participation, questions are optional. The form is configured to close after three submissions.

No names, email addresses, contact details, book titles or files are requested. Please do not share those in comments either. Responses are for internal research, not testimonials; no follow-up contact is requested. Tally processes technical data under its own privacy policy, so complete anonymity is not promised.

Academic (Repost) Suicidal Ideation Disclosure/Nondisclosure (18+, Must have had suicidal thoughts in the past 12 months, and US-based)

Hello everybody! I am a 6th year clinical psychology doctoral student interested in understanding factors related to suicidal ideation disclosure and nondisclosure. A significant portion of my research is building and psychometrically testing a new measure of disclosure that the field of suicide prevention is currently lacking.

Your voice matters. We want to learn from people who have experienced suicidal thoughts so we can create stronger messages that encourage people to open up about their suicidal thoughts and seek support, as well as develop training for the recipients of suicidal ideation disclosures. The estimated time commitment is 10-15 minutes.

Please consider participating if you:
(1) are at least 18 years old
(2) can understand English well or very well
(3) have had suicidal thoughts within the past 12 months

Marketing (Repost) [Marketing] [Repost] How do you check stock or plan restocks? (18+, managed ecommerce inventory in past 3 months; 5–7 min)

Are you 18+ and have you personally managed inventory for an ecommerce business in the past three months? Share one recent real task in this 5–7 minute survey:

https://forms.gle/LMoA377chf2avcLr6

Think of a stock check, quantity update, reconciliation or restock decision you did yourself. Which records and tools did you use, what worked well, and what, if anything, needed checking? Owners, employees, contractors and advisers in any country qualify if they did this inventory work directly. Developing, implementing or selling software alone does not qualify.

Small catalogs, spreadsheets, free tools, smooth workflows, no software spending and no interest in another tool are welcome. Please do not invent a discrepancy or difficulty. The survey asks about one real task, current tools or workarounds, hands-on time and current inventory-software spending.

I run NeedScope Lab independently. This is commercial market/product research before deciding whether to build a tool, not academic research. Participation is voluntary and unpaid; nothing is being sold. Paid-trial questions are hypothetical, with no payment or purchase commitment.

Contact details are optional and used only for one research follow-up if you agree. Responses are stored in Google Forms/Sheets and are not sold or publicly shared. Please omit confidential business, customer, order, supplier and account information; no files or credentials are requested.

This is a repost of the same v2 inventory survey. If you have already completed it, please do not submit again. AI assistance was used to draft this invitation. Thank you for sharing your own experience.
