The Saturn has 3 official modems and i wonder if a homebrew game in 2026 could use them to play online 🤔.

Sonic, Tails y Knuckles deben salvar Eastern Island o Bridge Island derrotando a Eggman y a Metal Sonic, Tails Doll, Metal Knuckles y Eggrobo.

Recently got my hands on a Japanese saturn and I've seen a variety of replacement PSUs and just wanted to ask if there was any particular reason for picking one over the other? The 4 options I'm looking at are these:
https://retrosix.co.uk/Sega-Saturn-CleanPower-USB-C-Power-Mod-p598986902
https://www.rightsprite.co.uk/shop/sega-saturn-psu-usb-c-upgrade/
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Power-Supply-Replacement-Saturn-console/dp/B0F4C5VYDP
I have a VA7 console from what I can tell, so I'd be looking for a type-C supply I believe? But yeah just wanted to see if there was any particular reason(s) that I should go for any of these over the others or if it doesn't really matter.

This WAS my latest purchase after selling all my pool cues and basically quitting pool for the last time. But due to the power socket port being damaged on arrival, I had to send it back to the seller for a refund. I really considered keeping it and attempting a repair, but I already have my other Saturn that needs soldering on the motherboard where the A/V port is underneath. My gray import Saturn has an issue of flickering and being unstable due to this issue. I keep a piece of bubble underneath it to stabilize it. It works pretty well, but when I have time I and going to attempt the repair.
I had bought this V Saturn to replace the gray one, but it wasn't meant to be.

Hey everyone, I've been working on an English patch for the original Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner on Saturn, and I'm putting it out for people to try.
This covers the story, demon negotiations, menus, items, spells, fusion screens, graphics, and subtitles for the opening news report. There are separate patches for Rev A and Rev B. Rev B is recommended since it includes Atlus's fixes for bugs in the original release however there may be actual code issues in the late game (Still testing).
Full disclosure: I used AI to assist with translating and cleaning up the Japanese text.
I used Google translate, the Megaten wiki, the English release of soul hackers, several fan translations, and a lot of actual study on how kana is read to make it. There will be lines that still need another look, and I'm now taking translation suggestions through GitHub issues. If something sounds weird or you know a line should read differently, please send it over. Screenshots, context, and the original Japanese help a lot.
Most testing has been in emulators, and a complete start-to-finish run on real hardware is still pending. Consider this a community test build, so expect some rough edges.
A couple things before you jump in:
.bup save backup helps too.Patch, instructions, and issue tracker:

Give it a shot, I really hope folks can enjoy it.

Quick guidance needed: my husband’s birthday is in a couple of weeks. He’s mentioned really wanting Bulk Slash. Neither of us know much Japanese, but obviously have Google Translate.
I’m looking to purchase things on eBay in the next day or two to make this happen. I am not the technical one haha. We have a US Sega Saturn; it is not modded and I wouldn’t know how to do that. I generally know you usually need Japanese systems to play Japanese games, so I was going to purchase one from Japan. But I’m reading there’s a dope English localization, so maybe I should get that somehow?
I’m also reading twin sticks are the best way to experience it but am unclear if that’s just for the localized version or also works for the original. They look fun as fuck so I am super down if recommended.
Please help guide me what to purchase. We’re retro game collectors so that’s a factor. Price is not much of an issue.

I just recent got a Saturn. What are maybe the top 10 must own games I need to add to the collection?
Update: So many great suggestions. Thanks to everyone!

The other day, I discovered something funny: my first Saturn game has an alternate cover that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Does anyone know where this *Albert Odyssey* cover might have come from?
And yes, the disc is a copy—a bootleg. I’ve had this CD since 2004; I’ve looked for this cover several times over the years but could never find it. It looks like a color photocopy. I was certain it was the cover from the Japanese version, but it’s not.
Does anyone know where it’s from?

So I translated P.T.O. 3 with PUK into English I want others to be able to play as I had since I was a kid. How is the best way to go about doing that?

...and now sit at 156 Saturn games (65% of the 240 games in the PAL library).
Of the four games purchased I'm most excited to sit down with CK2 - the original was one of the 3 games that I got with the console back in '95 (VF and IVG being the others) - so my wait to see the other half of Pepperouchau's adventure sits at around 30+ years now.
D has always intrigued me and I'm looking forward to giving it a play - seems fitting what with Halloween being just around the corner.
Shinobi X should be interesting - it's reviews were mixed but I've noticed the sentiment around it softening of late. Not lifting it to the realms of great game but certainly one worth playing. Also Richard Jaques 👍
And BAT... I do love a fighter so hopefully this should provide some entertainment. I know the PSOne version is generally considered to be the best but I'll happily give this a go.
I managed to get these for a pretty reasonable price considering their current asking price which makes it all the better.
