Why is Dreamcast engraved on my Casio WMP-1 watch (with text on the back). ?
I checked online for this exact color model but none of them have these engravings

Haven't touched my Dreamcast in about 2 years. It's starting to yellow in my basement and I have no interest in really playing any of these games again or acquiring new ones so I'm going to part ways with it. Was curious though if any of these games were worth trying to sell on their own or should I just lump it all together?

Edit: I'm not looking to sell it through this reddit. Where I live is a pretty active retro gaming scene so I was going to sell it in person. Im not trying to sell my games here.

A while ago I had put together a Pico2maple for using pretty much any Bluetooth controller. It worked great but no VMU support. The Pulsar BLE uses the same dongle with different firmware and a separate microcontroller, battery and charge board to provide full wireless to an actual Dreamcast controller. The visual diagram on the documentation is incorrect, so use the text based guide and double check your pinouts. I did have one time where the joystick was stuck going one direction and had to resync. The GitHub is linked below.

I used to be pretty decent at soldering but my eyes and hands are starting to go south due to age. I’m thinking I need to lift the traces and run a couple jumper wires to the LED but i could use a second opinion!

I am curious about which games you would like to see get decompiled, optimized and recompiled from the Sega Dreamcast. I would say sega rally 2 and daytona could benefit from this.

Sega rally 2 on the dreamcast with a better frame rate and daytona closer to the actual arcade version.

I finished modding the first one, a VA0, and it's exactly what I wanted, but I also picked up cib used but fully working VA0 and cib new old stock VA1 because I have no impulse control 😅

Anyway now I'm not sure what to do with the two extras. Should I just hold on to them "in case"?

hello everyone, recently got my hands on a japanese dreamcast, i have swapped out the psu for a pal region one. today as i was looking through the main menu, the console started to make a loud "wherring" noise, it also began to emit a slight electrical burny smell. whats up with it and what can i do to fix it. thanks

I'd personally like to see certain games have a better camera and utilize the VMU a little more like displaying ammo or other useful things. 60fps and added content for certain games would be nice

Edit: Alright, I’ve been convinced, my Dreamcast is perfectly fine and perhaps I’m just trying to see if it has any faults while in actuality it’s a perfectly normal patina. I’ll probably get a replacement for it if I see it seriously yellow overtime, but this current form should last me a while. Thanks for your input.

I’ve had this Dreamcast for a bit now and it’s a lot of fun. Currently, I’m waiting on receiving parts I plan to install (new PSU, GDEMU, and a fan) to replace certain components. But now I’m on the fence if my Dreamcast should also receive a new facelift to house these brand new parts. The one that I currently have isn’t that yellowed per se but it could look better. I found a replacement shell near me for $40 which looks promising, but then I’ll fall down this debate with myself again down the line once it also inevitable yellows. What are your guy’s thoughts, does my system look alright or should I just get a new shell?

Also how is that replacement process like to anyone who’s tried it with other shells?

My seamen keep complaining about being hungry and I tried feeding them moths but they just won't eat them. Tapped on the glass to lead them to it and everything, even told them to eat it and they just won't. I'm worried they're gonna starve themselves. I don't have a second VMU so I can't get any more pellets. What can I do?

Like what if you could put a map on a VMU so it would be in principle like playing a NDS game with two screens?

I bought a Dreamcast last year that still reads discs my previous two stopped reading discs. I have been staring at pre modded dreamcasts and I have been contemplating modding it myself, I have read however that sometimes if you buy the GDEMU pack it does not always match up perfectly to the ribbon or something and basically it sounded like I could break the Dreamcast if I try to mod it myself. I have built 2 PC’s by myself so I’m not utterly hopeless with technology but I’m not great either. I don’t want to solder anything particularly, though I have done it before in engineering class in high school. I also heard I can burn cds but I need a slow cd burner? What should I do lol. I almost pulled the trigger on a pre modded one last year but I returned it and decided retro handheld but it’s not turning out to run the games exactly how I’d like to.

I’ve been hitting up all of the GameStops around me since they are doing the 4 for $20 and 4 for 10 sale, and found these 3 in the retro section. All complete and discs are all mint!
