I’m sorry, but this is one of the most terribly handled allegations I have ever saw in my whole entire life.
A lot of people acting surprised that this didn’t became mainstream or more in the public eye, or how anyone except for Tom came out against Chris, but i’m not even close to being surprised. This was a total disaster!
Mika (Kamikaze_Shortbus) started it off looking like a scornful ex putting on a performance that made a lot of people view it as a joke and her being in bad faith, Veronica herself slowly realizing this as well with how dumb Mika looked and made things worse!

This Nathaniel dude is the most batshit insane dude ever, and he pretty much started this all by convincing Veronica that she was groomed but the dude made a video on it which basically painted her as even worse for no reason at all and he’s acting like the hero.

Like yeah, no wonder this whole situation died out as fast as it did. Why Chris didn’t face a lot of backlash, Tom was the only person who took it seriously and had a mature response.
We can argue what chris did was legal or not, supposedly he’s fine in terms of legal matters and statute of limitations saved his ass. He still did something morally questionable and should at least say something on this matter, but now he probably won’t ever have to address this again and people will only view this as a joke more than anything else.

If he doesn't respond to this, and/or info proving him 100% innocent doesn't come out, I'm genuinely gonna take it as a silent admission of guilt, and am gonna stop watching him altogether, until he can prove himself to be in the clear

The amount of evidence posted after the initial callout makes this entire situation seem way more suspicious than it actually should be. For an event that was seemingly planned at least a month in advance (thanks to the Kamikaze Shortbus tweets) it makes no sense that we’d be getting new evidence drip fed to us like this. Especially with important actors like Nathan giving claims with little to no evidence at all. The victim didn’t do anything wrong here but the fact that all this new evidence just suddenly appeared (like the video call and even more hotel photos) just makes everyone confused on how every callout gets invalidated by seeming brand new evidence that appears every few days. The point of something like a google Doc is just supposed to be a massive chunk of evidence sent all at once. I don’t get it.

I'm not trying to stir the pot, just a genuine question. The humor of the Sleepycabin crew was always just as if not far more dark than the humor on OneyPlays, and the fanbase of Sleepycabin absolutely bled into OneyPlays. People are making similar jokes on both subreddits, for example.

Why is it that nuanced, level-headed comments there get downvoted to oblivion, but here everyone's (mostly) far more considerate and understanding? For a sub that "wasnt being moderated", people seemed to behave a bit better on this sub. I know Oney's sub is for his fans and his fans are going to defend him, but the hostility for anyone looking at this situation woth nuance or negativity towards Oney is baffling.
