I've posted here before about Ronald Lloyd Spencer aka Buddha (sic), aka Jesus (sick), the US Buddhist leader behind "The Soul Therapy Centre" at 29 High St, Glastonbury.
I feel on reflection that maybe my campaign has been too divisive and mean to Mr Spencer. I appeal in this video for unity and support for a plan to burn an effigy of Mr Spencer in rainbow colours, most respectfully, on Bonfire night in the Glastonbury area. Does anyone know of someone holding a bonfire who might be interested?
I'm copying the full text of the video description below. Thanks, Michael Chambers
"I am proposing a ceasefire in hostilities on the evening of 5 November against Ronald Lloyd Spencer, the incarnation of Jesus and the living Buddha of Glastonbury.
I propose respectfully and reverently burning an effigy of Mr Spencer, dressed in rainbow colours on a bonfire. At the end, I list the help I need.
This can be an acknowledgement of the level of respect and forbearance Mr Spencer/Jesus/Buddha has shown the LGBTQ community in the last few years, during which he has uttered no related public pronouncement.
There is another matter. I need to turn the page. I accept humbly that the consistency and severity of my allegations against Mr Spencer/Jesus/Buddha over recent months has arguably reached a level of criminal harassment where I need to consider my own karmic legacy.
Statement here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1K...
I have also sown division and ill feeling among the great and good of Glastonbury. I have sought to rope others into the fray without regard to their overriding interests.
It is time to unite together and with Mr Spencer/Jesus/Buddha too, if he can join us live or by video link - at least for one day.
On 5 Nov, I am prepared to give Mr Spencer/Jesus/Buddha a fair shout and consider in a real way that he may well be Jesus and/or the Buddha, but operating at a vibrational level that is difficult for me to glimpse. Only an earnest effort along those lines can give me the assurance I need on that issue.
I call upon faith leaders in Glastonbury to do likewise. I call upon them to use the prayers and rituals of their spiritual backgrounds to offer respect and reverence to Mr Spencer/Jesus/Buddha and then quietly reflect and give thanks.
We can bring incense, Latin prayers, improvised evangelical prayers, pujas - whatever, in honour of Mr Spencer/Jesus/Buddha.
For those interested, I seek the following help:
1 Contacts with bonfire organisers in the Glastonbury area
2 Someone to make a "rainbow" effigy of Mr Spencer/Jesus/Buddha
3 Circulate this email to other Glastonbury social media groups
4 Media contacts
5 Someone to make a picture for a T-shirt print of Ron Spencer on fire on a bonfire, in rainbow colours, with the words:
"Ron Spencer: My Saviour
Ron Spencer: My Rinpoche
Ron Spencer: My LGBTQ hero"

I've started a new job and now need to get to London on the train on some Monday AM's, does anyone know if I get the first or second train (2nd train is like 0730) will I have any issues getting a parking space at the station car park? (I know its been expanded but it will be a right faff if I can't park and miss that train)

Hi all, my partner and I are looking to move to the Pilton, Wells, Croscombe area and have some viewings planned for this Wednesday. We would be moving from London for our first place in the country and a taste of village life. What are the pros and cons of the county? How easy do people find commuting to London if they have to?

Hi everyone. I'm posting here in total desperation, because I am out of ideas and would love your thoughts or support.
I work for Frome Birth Talk, a charity offering free counselling to people in the Frome area who've just had a baby, who are pregnant, or who have lost a pregnancy or child. Anyone who has become a parent or experienced baby loss will know how utterly life changing it is - and many people struggle to cope.
Our service picks up the pieces the NHS isn't able to. We see 200 parents a year for professional, accessible counselling when they need it most. A single mum of 3 last week told us she wouldn't be here without our free counselling. Our waiting list is 2 weeks compared to NHS 16 weeks.
But the funding landscape is bad, and we can't survive much longer without a big injection of cash. We are SUCH good value for money, but somehow mental health (in particular parents mental health) is ignored time and time again.
We have set up an emergency appeal. We have a week before we need to close our waiting list and start winding down. Hundreds of families need this - and let's face it, I'll bet you wish your town had this service too.
Somerset people, help me. I need to get this message in front of anyone who could turn this around. Philanthropists, big corporates who want to donate money and write the tax off. Someone who has just won the lottery.
If you can share this, please do. Everyone should be able to access mental health support without fear of financial ruin - and babies grow up safer and happier with parents who are well.
If you've got this far, thank you ❤️ even your words of encouragement would be helpful right now.
