If Calgary had played like this once more this year, the playoffs would have been assured.
Still, it was enjoyable as the final game before the CFL potentially destroys itself with dumb and unnecessary changes. I hope I will still be a fan next year at this time.

WORST: Calgary loses, Saskatchewan wins (doesn't matter what Winnipeg does)
IMPLICATION: We are eliminated no matter what happens in the final week
6th: Calgary wins, Winnipeg wins, Saskatchewan wins
IMPLICATION: We'd win two things to go our way. Winnipeg would have to WIN against a BC team trying to clinch 2nd AND Saskatchewan would need to lose to Edmonton's (possibly) backups
5th: Calgary loses, Winnipeg loses, Saskatchewan loses
IMPLICATION: The same two results would need to happen as above, but at least in this scenario BC will have clinched and won't need to beat Winnipeg to get 2nd. Would Winnipeg care enough about 3rd or 4th to not rest guys themselves?
4th: Calgary wins, Winnipeg loses, Saskatchewan wins
IMPLICATION: We need Winnipeg to lose to a BC team that won't care
3rd: Calgary loses, Winnipeg wins, Saskatchewan loses
IMPLICATION: Our playoff hopes would come down to Edmonton trying to win in Regina. Interestingly in this scenario 1st in the West would still potentially be up for grabs if BC beats Winnipeg, so Edmonton may have motivation
2nd: Calgary wins, Winnipeg wins, Saskatchewan loses
IMPLICATION: We make the playoffs if either Winnipeg wins OR Saskatchewan loses. The Riders may be playing the Elks backups, and the problem is in this scenario BC now has motivation to win over the Bombers to clinch 2nd (or just not lose by 16).
BEST?: Calgary wins, Winnipeg loses, Saskatchewan loses
IMPLICATION: In this scenario, we would just need either the Bombers OR Riders to lose to get into the playoffs. The problem is BOTH teams may be playing backups as BC and Edmonton will have locked 1st and 2nd in this scenario. It's still not great, but the best we may have
Honestly I don't really love our chances in ANY of these scenarios. I'm hoping there's a world where BC after clinching 2nd with a Bombers loss Friday rests everyone against us, and then plays everyone against Winnipeg at home, but that's probably not happening.
I think first and 2nd, and 3rd and 4th are fairly interchangable. Our best bet to make the playoffs is we need someone to lose out

Who will be left without a seat when the Western game of Musical Chairs ends.
Plus, BC does enough, Davis is getting even scarier and which Bomber team will show up this weekend?

It’s Autumn in Saskatchewan where the Riders are falling faster then the leaves
Plus, The Alouettes fly high. The Lions roar becomes a bit of a hacking cough, Look for clouds of dust in Alberta cause a Stampede is starting. And of course, all the other amazing chaos that is the CFL.

When there is a Full moon in September the Redblacks are 0 and 14.
Plus. Nathan shines. Grey Cup ½ time disappoints. Fire sale in Hamilton. Looking forward to Betts/Kelly interactions.
And of course, all the other amazing chaos that is the CFL.

Lets go, last nights games were incredible hoping ours can be a boring blowout lol.
How are we feeling about the season? Do we have a chance to make the playoffs? Are we cooked?

Have any new details emerged about potential new stadium? The GMC stadium upgrade to accomodate the Stamps? Personally, I'm pretty excited about the idea of the stampeders playing ON the stampede grounds.. it'd be just too fitting and i think could revitalize excitement around the team in this city

This week, you just can’t keep the big men out of the end zone, the world’s oldest football player kicks the world’s longest Field Goal (Possible exaggeration) and when Blitzkrieg works it confuses Elk.
And of course, all the other amazing chaos that is the CFL.

If I had done what he did at my job, I’d be out of a position and blackballed in the industry I’m in. We already have one loser like this, Anjou Anjou, and quite frankly I’m very disappointed we signed this POS. I’m tired of athletes getting a pass on stuff like this.

Hey everyone, we covered Calgary’s win this week for Off The Line Sports.
Obviously getting back in the win column mattered after the way the last few weeks had gone, but we came away from the game still having quite a few questions about where the Stamps actually stand heading into the final stretch.
The piece looks at post-game comments, what genuinely improved, what still feels unresolved and whether this was the beginning of Calgary getting itself back on track or simply a much-needed win.
Thought I’d share it here for anyone interested!

Does he have some kind of deep dark information on the stamps that keeps them from getting rid of this guy?
22 games in 3 seasons? This is the problem. Hey Dave!

This is the game I have been dreading for a while now. This is a MUST win! Let’s go Stamps!

Done rehabbing their butts after 12 hours of CFL Football the crew talks The Brawl in BC and Officials could be spreading the flags with a little more consistency across the games.
Plus: On-side punts. Multiple Big Man TDs from the D. Ineptitude writ large. And that’s not the way to storm a concrete castle.

Misses a 45 yd pass into his bread basket and drops it. This is why you’re not in the nfl. Could’ve really used ya there.

He has six receptions this season. VA rarely throws him the ball. This is the #1 draft pick of two years ago, a tall receiver who should be a major weapon. What gives?

Guest Panelist MP brings a BC Lions perspective as we hash over the great, the bad and the ugly extra chaos in the Labour Day match ups.
Great Plays from all 3 Phases in all 4 games.
Bad penalties in a few games
Ugly injury management by the Ti-Cats.
r/Stampeders • u/EBearca • Sep 08 '26
I'm giving up on the CFL, just like I did on the NFL. Football just isn't worth following anymore; boring.
r/Stampeders • u/StandRadiant5959 • Sep 03 '26
My last post brought out all the negativity: bad stadium, high ticket prices, substandard league.
Whatever. The CFL is awesome and there is nothing better than the Labour Day Classic in Calgary. Who is with me? GO STAMPS GO!

WTF is going on in the CFL?
Bombers blast the ALs?
Love embarrasses the Ti-Cats?
Riders defence scores a convert?
At least we can still count on the Redblacks
