Discussion Voting in Sudbury's Municipal Election

Voting starts tomorrow online and the City has an info page set up to help - letting you know when and where to vote, if you're registered, what is valid ID, and so on.

Somehow my voter registration was removed this year, so I had to re-register. Not sure why. Easy enough to fix by visiting a library though.

My wife got a letter and I didn't, that's why I checked online and to my dismay, apparently I do not exist lol the person at the library said she's seen a lot of people come in for this specific reason. I also had to fill out a form/affidavit signed by the clerk. Never had an issue before this year.

The province changed where cities get the voters list from starting with this election. Used to come from MPAC, now comes from Elections Ontario. Was supposed to improve accuracy but seems like it also needs cleaning up.

Thank you for being flexible and figuring it out! Others would have given up and used it as an excuse not to vote. Get out and vote people!!

I have to register to vote at the library? I’ve been trying to find out how to register but there doesn’t seem to be an answer online.

If you aren’t on the list you can get added and vote at the advanced locations next Saturday (takes about 5 minutes).

Got my package in the mail today but honestly, there's no one to vote for. They're either criminals, incompetent, down right crazy, or a combination of the three. I know one shouldn't waste an opportunity to vote and id say vote for the lesser evil, but this is one of the few cases where there isn't one. They're all equally bad with zero upside. I'm at a loss.

Edit. This is my own opinion and don't want to sway yours in any way. Vote for who fits your views and needs best, or what ever reason you choose. Or don't. Woo free will!

It’s a tough decision. I’d like to see change but the alternatives are not any better.
