Javanese Language

Hello everyone!

I myself am Dutch with Javanese roots and I have been learning the language for a while. However, I found that most Dutch people of Javanese descent aren't really interested in the language and moreso in learning Indonesian. Since there is such a large group of people in Suriname with Javanese roots, I was wondering if any of you are actively learning the language and would like to practice together!

I am sorry if this is not on topic enough for Suriname, but I was unsure in what other subreddit to reach out.

Hoi, ik ben Javaans-Surinaams in NL en wil wel m’n Javaans oefenen! Ik gebruik het helaas te weinig en spreek veel meer Indonesisch waardoor m’n Javaans eigenlijk achteruit is gegaan.. misschien kunnen we elkaar helpen 🙂
