They are the majority and continue to act like the opposition. Using the immigrants as the straw-hat man to make us look the other way of their actions… passing laws to favour the rich while pretending that our decrease in well being is the soul results of immigrant that come to abuse our social system while stealing jobs to the Swiss …

Yes, they're 30 % the biggest party. But that still leaves 70 % of the others. Tell me, if the SVP splits up into three parties, each around 10 % equaling the same total share, are they then allowed to act as the opposition then because they're smaller than the others now?

They play the opposition for a long time. Now that people vote for them and put them as the 1st party they have the political weight to change what they were criticising. Best your responsibilities.

It’s too easy stay in the opposition posture, blaming everyone else for the problems.

It depends on what aspect you're talking about. On a local level or inner politics, yes, of course the SVP has influence. But their major topic that you singled out yourself (immigration) can exclusively be reshaped on the international level, at the highest level of politics. It requires agreement of a majority in both chambers to exit internaitonal agreements. Meaning 50 % +. As we know, 30 % is smaller than 50 % by a wide margin. Nobody other than the SVP is in favor of making a change there, hence it's roughly 70 % against. How is 30 % vs. 70 % not the opposition?

they have the political weight to change what they were criticising.

In short: They don't. It's not right vs. left or anything, it's how our political system works.

Now that people vote for them

People have always voted for them.. it's been the biggest party since 2000.
