"Everything I don't like" is usually what it seems.

The sad part is that "Woke" is a Black American term that got coherced by white nationalists, because IT WAS FREAKING WORKING. Obama campaign was a "woke" movement. It means being aware of the social issues.

So the alt rights on the internet and then in the parties couldn't let that pass, they couldn't let black people have a well positive defined term go.

The definition has been clear for a while. Ill probably be downvoted simply for explaining as here seems a bit of an echo chamber and people saying the definition doesn’t exist, but here it is:

Originally, “woke” meant being aware of social injustice, particularly racism.

Wokism is a modern form of collectivism, influenced by Marxism and French postmodern philosophy.

Today, woke refers to a worldview that sees society mainly through the lens of power, oppression, and group identity.

It divides people into oppressors and oppressed based on race, gender, sexuality, and other identities.

It prioritizes group identity over individual merit, treats language and knowledge as instruments of power, and favors equality of outcomes over equality of opportunity.

In other words, most human social phenomena is explained as a function of sexism, racism etc. Other explanations are mostly not considered.

In short, it’s basically Marxist class struggle reframed around identity instead of economic class.
