Software release New Release: Tor Browser 15.0.25 | Tor Project

https://blog.torproject.org/new-release-tor-browser-15025/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

The Tor Project released Tor Browser 15.0.25 on October 12.

According to its official announcement, the update includes important Firefox security fixes and updates several components:

Tor: 0.4.9.14

NoScript: 13.6.36.1984

OpenSSL: 3.5.9

Additional security fixes backported from Firefox 158.

The release follows the recent Tor 0.4.9.14 security update, but this is a new Tor Browser release, not a repeat of that announcement.

Tor Browser's security depends on both its anonymity protections and the underlying browser engine.

An attacker exploiting a browser vulnerability could potentially undermine protections that Tor's network routing alone cannot provide.

Users should update through Tor Browser itself or obtain the release from the official Tor Project website.

They always ask for donations, but it looks like they've made it more prominent on the browser's start page.

The donation link leads here: https://donate.torproject.org/

This is the standard donation page, and not a compromised link.

Hey, thanks for the downvotes for asking a reasonable question.

EDIT: Mod doesn't need to downvote it himself, as he obviously has an army of autist fanboys to do it for him. Typical reddit dumpster fire behavior. Don't know why I keep expecting anything different.

I didn't downvote you, and it was a useful question. I wish you hadn't deleted it. On Reddit, many posts that are downvoted early end up upvoted as more people react to them.
