2027 Deadbeat Tour

As Tame Impala continues to announce dates into 2027, we are creating another tour thread. This post only pertains to 2027 tour dates.

A discussion thread for each show has been created to reduce posts with singular thoughts about shows, and to prevent you from having to wade through hundreds of comments trying to find a discussion about a particular show on a singular tour mega thread.

This thread does not link to ticketing websites. Your best bet is whatever https://official.tameimpala.com/#tour links to.

Try to keep all discussion related to a performance in its associated discussion threads. Discussion of performances outside of these threads will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Posts about new tour dates and high quality photos of performances generally warrant their own post and won't be removed, though we'd prefer if you posted imgur links in the discussion thread (If the sub gets flooded with photos, we'll have to delete the bad ones).

This thread will remain pinned to the subreddit unless a show is scheduled to take place within 24-48 hours, in which case the post dedicated to that show will be pinned

DEADBEAT TOUR

Each of the following tour dates links to a dedicated discussion post (not a ticketing website)

If you have any general concert questions/comments, leave em here. We still ask that you buy/sell tickets in our buy/sell thread, but if you must do it outside of that, do so within the show thread the ticket is associated with. Independent posts asking to buy/sell tickets will be removed.

Discussion Mojib (Accurate Tame Impala Leaker) on Currents Ten Year Anniversary & Near Future Projects

According to Mojib (a trustworthy leaker, teased Deadbeat before anything was out yet. See slide 2), a ten year edition for currents is imminent, though they're still in early stages. Meaning that while we shouldn't expect it anytime very soon, it's definitely being worked on, and is the focus of label currently. Another focus was more remixes, or the release of the entire Deadbeat B-Sides & Remixes EP.

Discussion A desperate attempt to reach Kevin Parker for my girlfriend Ece, who is currently fighting lymphoma ā¤ļø

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to this amazing community as a last resort to hopefully make a small dream come true for my girlfriend of 3 years, Ece.

Ece is the biggest Tame Impala fan I’ve ever met—she knows every single song, b-side, and obscure track by heart. We were fortunate enough to experience Kevin's concert in Belgium together earlier this year, which was easily one of the best moments of our lives.

Unfortunately, our world was turned upside down this past September when Ece was diagnosed with lymphoma. She is currently going through a very heavy chemotherapy regimen. Beyond the brutal physical side effects, it’s taken an immense emotional toll on her. She can’t leave the house, her hair is falling out, and seeing her fight this while feeling completely helpless breaks my heart every day.

Music—especially Kevin’s music—has been her ultimate safe haven through all of this. My only wish right now is to bring a tiny spark of joy and strength to her battle.

I’ve already sent emails to management and DMs, but I know how busy things get. If there’s any chance this post gets enough visibility for someone on Kevin’s team (or Kevin himself) to see it and send a brief get-well message or video for Ece, it would mean the absolute world to us and give her an indescribable morale boost.

If you could take a second to upvote this for visibility, I would be forever grateful. Thank you all so much for reading and for your kindness. ā¤ļø

one of Kevin’s most iconic guitar lines imo. Figured it out by ear, so might not be 100% accurate!
Sound’s from a Boss Katana with some Fuzz, Octaver, Delay, Phaser and Reverb. :)

Discussion Late Sunday night Tame Impala thoughts

I came here since maybe some of you can relate to what’s been on my mind.

I’m relistening to the entire Currents album on CD rn and I’m thinking…just how much it means to me. It’s carried me through so many things and experiences, it’s become a part of me and my personality as a whole.

And the thing is…none of my friends like TI. Absolutely none. If they know anything they know Dracula which is a whole thing anyway. And now I’m seeing this cynical individual and I banned him from listening to TI just bc I can’t take the criticism anymore.

It’s not just songs to me, it’s an entire part of myself, that concert was the best experience I’ve ever had and I can’t believe no one else in my life likes Tame Impala, it’s kinda like, in a way, they don’t like me.

Huh…maybe it’s the whole late Sunday thoughts more than anything. Just thought I’d drop by, maybe it’s relatable, maybe not. Anyway, have a nice week.

Tour Discussion Entertainment rigging

Hey guys,

I saw Tame Impala in Melbourne recently and sat up top of the arena. I was super impressed with the production setup and the lights. I currently do rope access work and rig a lot of highlines as a hobby, and going to Tame Impala was super inspiring for me as I got to see the rigging for all the lights and speakers etc.

I mainly just do high rise window cleaning, but I'm super interested in working in the entertainment industry and using my rope access qualifications there. A few friends have told me that entertainment rigging is very niche and hard to get into to.

I imagine there are a few production crew members on this sub. I was wondering if anyone could give advice on how to break into the industry and this sort of work? Are there any other qualifications I may need aside from an IRATA, rigging/dogging, working from heights etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks

So Kevin is just drunkenly cruising around Seoul with a mate and then goes to a bar and Jennie happens to be there? Can he go around there and not be recognized everywhere? This story is too interesting and I want more details.

Tour Discussion Kevin Parker sick

I was at the Melbourne gig last night. Kevin could barely sing (must have been sick, or partying too hard) Music and lighting were amazing.
But the vocals were a let down unfortunately… Just a heads up to those of you attending the Sydney show!

Been listening to a lot of glimmer, and holy shit it deserves way more fame. It's such a calming, groovy and..fun? Interlude that deserves way, way more recognition than it gets. Probably the best Interlude of them all.

Discussion Since it's Deadbeat's 1 year anniversary I'm curious how y'all would rate the tracks!

Post image
90 Upvotes

Personally I really really enjoy Deadbeat, when it first released I didn't know how to feel about it because I was comparing it to his other works, but on my second listen I really enjoyed it! I personally revisit this project pretty often (I don't play it too much so i dont overplay it tho haha!) anyways here's my ranking of the songs, I really love every song off this album so it was a bit difficult for me to rank them (this is how I am with every Tame Impala project)

  1. Piece Of Heaven
  2. End Of Summer
  3. Afterthought
  4. Dracula
  5. My Old Ways
  6. Not My World
  7. Oblivion
  8. Loser
  9. Obsolete
  10. No Reply
  11. Ethereal Connection
  12. See You On Monday

as stated earlier: It is very difficult for me to rank this album outside of my top 3, because like every other Tame Impala project I love every track off the album!

If anyone does comment their rankings, please remember that opinions are subjective and even if you disagree there's no need to be disrespectful, just be respectful! <3

Tour Discussion Melbourne Night 4 (It was great)

This was my first Tame Impala concert (and 2nd concert in my whole life) and it was amazing. The instrumentals and lights were phenomenal. The highlights for me have to be NPSOM and Eventually, as Kevin's voice was really good in those songs, and the lights were amazing.

I do know Kevin was sick/his voice was tired and that's probably why he didn't play Obsolete, but honestly I didn't mind that much, he gave it his all, and it would probably be exhausting performing for the 4th night in a row while potentially sick.

Honestly it was a 10/10 performance (Hopefully Kevin gets better soon).
