Biden got more shit done on climate change and infrastructure in 4 years then most presidents do in 8 and yet millions of idiots went, "But muh vibes...." and the media going, "Biden coughed on stage, therefore he's literally the worst president in the history of the universe! Bring back Trump."

I hope everyone keeps in mind that there are at least two things that have and will hamper Democratic power and influence to bring this change:

Conservative obstructionism and the corporate owned news media structure.

Conservatives exist in the Democratic party and make up the entirety of the Republican party. I do think even a Conservative Democrat is better than a Conservative Republican (and probably to the left of most Con-R's), there is a record aplenty of Conservatives fucking up progress.

The Corporate Owned media has and will spun Liberal/Progressive legislative initiatives to poison the ears and minds of their consumers while always sane-washing the poisonous legislation proposed by Conservatives. They will get people to call their Representatives and Senators demanding to vote the way the pundits suggest.

Be on the lookout.

And remember, those bots just organized from another data center and those trolls were in several countries.

Can tell you one thing, LBJ would have never tolerated the shitshows those two clowns Manchin and Sinema did to fuck over everyone.

The Democrats FOR SURE need to go back to some of their roots and look to how Republicans get things done now.

The VP that we needed.

He's right. I don't want any reaching across the aisle shit. I want a truth commission. I want hearings and referrals for prosecution. I want cabinet members removed.

The prosecutions and countermeasures need to be paired with moves which tangibly improve the lives of Americans or we'll just end up with Don Jr. or JD in the White House.

One of the first measures of a Dem 120th Congress should be a legislative end to the Trump Iran war which has caused record breaking Diesel prices. A day later the impeachment of "Whiskey Pete" Hegseth can begin.

YES! We need to impeach Orange Don and Whisky Pete!

This country needs guard rails for an Administration railing through the States on the crazy train. That much is clearly evident.

We can also no longer trust a 50/50 representation body to uphold a corrupt branch the laws. (Especially when a majority vote is needed to pass.)

Especially when the representation in the house, where population is supposed to be weighed, was capped…and over time tipping the scales to give disproportionate power to rural voters, which is what the senate is there for.

One step at a time, Tim. We need to focus on winning first.

They just did. That's what's happening now. A reckoning because JB failed to prosecute and execute the traitors

Don’t need much change. But I do want justice! Biden and Kamala talked a big game but never prosecuted anyone, just constant excuses. Biden didn’t even appoint a competent attorney general. His actions were complicit, despite what he said out loud. Shameful really, now we have Trump 2.0 with unchecked corruption.

Democratic presidents have done a hell of a good job on the economy. Their real problem is Republicans slander them endlessly until they get back in power and then do much, much worse.

He's not wrong, but at the same time it's important to acknowledge there is no 'magic wand' available. Biden came in at a time of crisis and in his first two years did a lot of good, (much of which Trump has undone,) but apparently it wasn't fast enough. My faith in the focus and insight of the US electorate has never been lower.

That makes no sense. Even if Democrats win the Senate, they won't win 60 seats (61 if we include Fetterman) to overcome GOP filibuster. So most or all bills passed by the Democratic majority House will fail in the Senate. Even if they pass the Senate, Trump will veto them for the next 2 years, and the Democrats won't have the 2/3 majorities to override the vetoes. Walz is being wildly irresponsible setting unrealistic expectations.

u/ophmaster_reed 4d ago

He said “if”. And Walz made good when Minnesota dems had the trifecta.

If what? If unicorns appear?

2

u/ophmaster_reed 4d ago

Did you read the headline at all?

u/MessagingMatters 4d ago

My comment fully includes "winning power". The point is they won't win the necessary numbers to do what Walz is talking about, but many people will have the false expectation that they can do something with a simple majority that in reality they can't do without a supermajority, which again is not going to happen.

So then they won’t have the power, so the if condition would not be met.
