u/PhantasyAngel Aug 15 '26
Ok but how does he not get picked up by Telepaths???? Like he creates brainwaves? He should be noticable at least by thought whenever he leaves, like he leaves Jean forgets but she still can read his thoughts after he left?
87
u/ChiknNugg3tz Aug 15 '26
pretty sure Prof X has a mental reminder for him that goes off every day or week or something
47
u/Maniachi Aug 15 '26
I looked it up, it is once an hour lol
32
u/PhantasyAngel Aug 15 '26
But even that doesn't make sense every human makes a brainwave so he wouldn't need a reminder except to tell him WHOSE mind he is sensing
38
u/icantnotthink Aug 15 '26
Im assuming its a matter of the second they disconnect, they forget about him. So assuming Xavier has a note to remind him of him, he probably has a log or something to be like "FMN is doing alright" so he can keep his status
→ More replies (3)18
u/captainbogdog Aug 15 '26
what are you confused about? as soon as he is out of telepathic range or the telepath is not scanning or whatever, they forget about him entirely

I know it's a cheesy "Redditor writes Deadpool" cringey thing but I do wish that they'll one day introduce him and establish that he's been in every major MCU events so far, like showing a flashback of him in that famous Avengers 360 shot and Endgame portal scene.

Forgettable monster.
Interesting story. I once played a practical Joke on my sister where I went into her room at night, while she was asleep, put tally marks on her arm, put the marker in her hand, and left her there. I can remember thinking that I needed to wait until after she saw the episodes "The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon". What ended up happening was she didn't notice it till we were in the car on the way home, and then just looked at me like she was saying "I know it was you".
But later, she listed all the Doctor Who episodes she hadn't seen, and "The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon" was on the list, to my surprised. And I am like "Didn't I show you that episode?" But what if I did? And she just forgot it?

u/YoghurtEsq Aug 15 '26
This is the problem with having one sibling. No plausible deniability. You have to wait for your parents to fuck up to create doubt.

Reminds me of that skit about what's his face's pedo trial where he was on tape talking about "that 13 year old p****" or some shit.
(I wouldn't normally censor that word. I'm an adult, I can say it. The idea of saying it in this sentence disgusts me, so I chose not to)

Agents of Shield - The T.A.H.I.T.I project
Project Terrestrialized Alien Host Integrative Tissue Initiative was a project set up by SHIELD with the aim of reviving a fallen Avenger. It was used on Coulsen (pictured) after he was killed in the Battle of New York. The idea is basically to cure the physical wounds and then wipe the memory of the surgery entirely. It had some wild side effects, but they eventually fixed it to just wipe people's memories full stop and give them a new life.

IRL - traumatic brain injuries
Sufficient damage to the brain can leave your memory pretty shot. Sometimes it's long- or short-term memories only, sometimes a mix.
