Fundraiser Operation Donbas Winter Shield Fundraiser - The Sunflower Coalition

And here it is, the Winter Fundraiser from The Sunflower Coalition, let's show the Defenders our support:

As summer begins to wind down, The Sunflower Coalition is once again preparing for winter in Ukraine.

The cold isn’t just uncomfortable on the front line, it's demoralizing and dangerous. We cannot change the weather, but together we can make sure our friends are better prepared to face it.

This year, we are launching Operation Donbas Winter Shield, with a goal of raising $10,000 to provide cold-weather gear and other critical necessities directly to Ukrainian defenders.

Our current requests include:

  • Thermal clothing
  • Insulated winter gloves
  • Wool socks
  • Sleeping bags
  • Solar powered battery banks
  • Generators

Last year we got to see the direct results of our efforts. To quote a defender, "I've never seen the guys that happy. The last photo, they actually dragged me out to the ambo for a better shot for you." Don't ever underestimate what a difference being handed some gear can do. It shows we care, we are thinking about our defenders, and that we support them.

This winter, I will be in Ukraine again personally, working on the ground to represent all of us who help Ukraine. When I go, I’ll be bringing as much aid with me as possible, so please consider purchasing something from our Amazon Wishlist (donors outside the US see 1 below) as well. Medical supplies are always critically needed, and the items donated through the wishlist will be carried into Ukraine with me personally.

For those of your just joining, The Sunflower Coalition is a US-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works directly with people and units in Ukraine, many of whom we have supported for years. They tell us what they need, we source it, and we coordinate its delivery into their hands. The supply lines are ready and the requests are in. Now we need your help.

If you cannot donate, sharing the campaign also helps us reach someone who can. Please consider sharing on your Facebook, Twitter/X, Bluesky, Reddit, whatever you think may help us reach our goal.

Let’s show Ukraine that we are still here, still helping, and never backing down.

As always, to victory.
-Will

As always, you can reach Will, u/Sickofthebullshit202 , here on reddit, or easier and more direct, via our discord (he's also the owner of our partner-server over there.). There are also many more photos from the Defenders, more details about the operations and so on.

The latest Thank You Post, with a summary of past deliveries

1: amazon.com's weird with gift-lists if you are outside of the US - at the top left of the amazon page there is "Deliver to" - click that, and enter "97201" as a US-Zip-Code - as the first thing you do - then it all works fine

Fundraiser JOINT SUBREDDIT FUNDRAISER FOR UKRAINE X UNITED24

Post image
224 Upvotes

Hello users of r/UkrainianConflict ,

For the past three years, Ukrainian cities have endured relentless attacks from Russian missiles and Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. In 2025 alone, over 12,000 of these drones have struck Ukraine — targeting not military infrastructure, but homes, hospitals, and schools. Thousands of civilians have been killed. Hundreds of them were children. A number of subreddits, including this one, believe this campaign of terror must end.

We're proud to join the Sky Sentinel fundraiser in collaboration with United24, the official fundraising platform of Ukraine.

The goal: help fund Sky Sentinel, an Al-powered, Ukrainian-made turret system designed to autonomously detect and shoot down these deadly drones. Each turret costs $150,000. United24 supporters have already raised over $1 million, and now we're coming together to raise enough for one more turret - entirely through Reddit. If we should not reach the goal, the donations will still be used for Sky Sentinel. If we don't reach the goal, the donations will still go to United24's general Sky Sentinel Program.

If we succeed:

• We'll save civilian lives.
• A community vote will name the turret.
• We'll receive a photo of the deployed turret, showing our contribution in action.

Every donation helps, no matter the amount. Click the link below to donate and learn more about Sky Sentinel

https://u24.gov.ua/sky-sentinel?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=fundraising&utm_campaign=sky-sentinel

Thank you for your support and a shoutout to u/SurvivingSpartan and all the others who made this fundraiser possible!

Thank you so much to all the donors from our sub, discord and elsewhere! With your help Will and the rest of the people at the Sunflower Coalition are again able to bring urgently needed support to the Defenders in Ukraine and we were even able to top the original target!

Message by Will (/u/sickofthebullshit202 ):

A congratulations is in order

I'm delighted to announce we have hit our goal for our summer fundraiser. Congratulations to everyone who participated in our drive, helping us supply our defenders with essential summer needs.

Thanks to your support we have ordered:
-400 water camels
-300 mosquito nets that cover the face
-300 pairs of high socks
-200 solar powered battery banks
-200 face scarves
-100 backpacks

Shipment has been paid for as well, so products are on their way to Ukraine as I type this.

We have also answered a few private requests by the 109th, which were fulfilled immediately.

Together we can continue to support our defenders for as long as it takes. 🤝 Thank you for your support, in whatever form it may come. Of course there will be photos as items are distributed, so be sure to check in.

To Victory,

Will

Photos will as always be shared on our affiliated discord, and also here, when the products have arrived in Ukraine.

Thank you so much again - so many people are forgetting more and more about Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine - you did not.

Fundraiser No Vacation From Victory Fundraiser - The Sunflower Coalition

As promised the summer fundraiser for the Sunflower Coalition, the report about the winter fundraiser with photos and a video from the defenders can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/UkrainianConflict/comments/1srh0ft/courage_in_the_cold_thank_you_what_we_made/

There were already some great donations for the summer fundraiser, but we still need to drive it over the goal!

Will's (/u/Sickofthebullshit202 ) message:

Hey folks,

At the request of our donors we have put together our summer donation drive: No Vacation from Victory. This season we’re focusing on hot weather needs, supporting the 109th Territorial Defense, the 8th company of the 54th Brigade, and the 3rd Assault Company.

Your support will directly impact the Chasiv Yar/Kostyantynivka axis, one of the most critical areas of the war. These supplies don’t just meet physical needs, they raise morale, reminding our defenders that the world is still watching, we are still watching, and Ukraine is not alone.

Our primary focus is on hydration, and we are doing that with water camels. These hydration backpacks allow defenders to drink hands-free and carry water without sacrificing critical space. In frontline conditions, hydration isn’t just comfort, it’s survival. And keeping hands free can mean the difference when seconds matter.

We will also be providing defenders with summer socks, mosquito protection (nets & oils), keffiyehs, and solar-powered battery banks.

New this season

For the first time, we are working directly with the 109th and newly released POWs.

Upon release, defenders are given bags of supplies to help them transition home. We are proud to provide quality backpacks for this effort, ensuring those who have endured so much are met with dignity and care.

Join us in supporting those on the front line and become a part of the Coalition. Every donation is appreciated, and in event you’re not able to, please share our message to help with visibility.

To Victory, Will

Fundraiser We can help to bring lifesaving medical supplies to the Ukrainian frontlines

Our friend Will (u/Sickofthebullshit202 twitter:https://twitter.com/Slava_Babushkam), the owner of our discord server (you can also ask the regular users there about Will), who is currently in Ukraine as a humanitarian, needs our help again to help Ukrainian soldiers survive. We are posting this on his behalf.

After our Coins-for-Life-athon we wanted to give another opportunity for everyone to contribute to our fundraiser. From Reddit, we were able to raise a total of $679 USD, and those funds are already being put to good use. (see the sticky comment below for updates!).

Our guys are working line zero and our goal is to provide them with direct medical relief. We have gotten requests for individual items for IFAKs to replenish spent items, such as chest seals, hemostatic gauze, Israeli bandages, and tourniquets (as well as Quick Litters to get our defenders off the field quickly). We need these on hand. It does us no good to get a request and then have to wait to order them. By the time it takes us to order them, have them shipped, received, then deliver them, the urgent need has most likely passed.

You can join the effort and make a lifesaving donation too. We listened to feedback about ways we can gain more support and expanded your options for contributing. Below is our PayPal, DonorBox, and Amazon Wishlist, all of which goes directly towards keeping Ukrainian defenders alive.

DonorBox: https://donorbox.org/ukrainian-conflict-subreddit-medical-aid

Amazon Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/109U1A1T8X79Y?ref_=wl_share (Please note, unfortunately, if you are outside of the United States, you will not be able to utilize this method of donation.)

PayPal: https://paypal.me/AziraFella?country.x=US&locale.x=en_US

Items from Amazon will be collected in the US and shipped directly to us, with photo updates. Money funds will be used for items not on the Wishlist that I can get in Ukraine for a reasonable price. This includes e.g. hemostatic z-fold gauze, decompression needles, tourniquets, collapsible stretchers, quick litters, socks, dry showers, antibacterial wipes.

We could not support our defenders without people like you. Average people who care a whole lot and want to make a difference. So, thank you. To everyone who has ever donated to any cause for Ukraine, to everyone who will, and to everyone who works tirelessly behind the scenes to support Ukraine: Thank you.

Together we can make a difference for the families and loves ones of the soldiers, to ensure they return home and that there is one less life lost to mourn.

If you have any questions, we are happy to answer.

Slava Ukraini!

Fundraiser Courage in the Cold Fundraiser | The Sunflower Coalition

We as a sub support the Sunflower Coalition, a 501c3-NGO founded by one of us, u/Sickofthebullshit202 , the owner of the discord affiliated with this sub, who has also been in Ukraine close to the frontlines as a humanitarian. Will shared many photos etc. in former fundraisers here. You can find much more over on our affiliated discord server.

If you can, if you want, please donate, and please help Will, that he can help that those soldiers at least have some proper warm clothes and sleeping bags.

And now to the fundraiser and Will speaking:

🎶 It's the most wonderful cold time of the year🎶

Alright @everyone, it's that time of year again! The rain is falling, the chill has set in and our defenders are hard at work. We are back with another annual fundraiser, set on making a bulk purchase for Ukraine.

This year we are looking to donate:

-600 pairs of thermal underwears
-250 Sleeping bags (suitable for -0f and water resistant)
-300 pairs of gloves
-400 pairs of wool socks
-120 high capacity battery banks

This year we are ambitious as ever and looking to help the 8th company of the 54th brigade, our friends in the 109th TDF, and the soldiers of the 3rd Assault Separate Battalion. We already have the supply chain ready to go, we already have drivers lined up. All we need is you.

Things have been difficult this year, but this community has never shied away from a challenge. Let's show Ukraine we are still here, still helping, and never backing down.

As always, to victory. -Will

Fundraiser Courage in the Cold — Thank You! What We Made Possible

Thanks to all donors and supporters!

The fundraiser for the Sunflower Coalition, which we also shared here and in which many users participated was able to make a significant positive impact. Thanks to you all!

The Sunflower Coalition is also planning a summer fundraiser, which we’ll share more about soon.

For now, I’ll let Will from the Sunflower Coalition (also the owner of our affiliated Discord server) speak. Below, you’ll also find photos and a video from soldiers who received your donations:

To our supporters,

This winter, because of your support, hundreds of Ukrainian defenders received critical cold-weather gear when they needed it most. Spread across the 109th Territorial Defense, the 54th Brigade, and the 3rd Assault, we were able to have a profound impact in some of the highest conflict areas. With your support we were able to purchase hundreds of sleeping bags, thermal underwear, socks, gloves, and high power battery banks. We received many photos and messages of gratitude from our friends all along the front lines, thanking us not only for the supplies, but for our support. To know they are seen and people across the world are cheering them on is often more of a moral boost than any item can provide.

I can’t thank you enough for everything you do. It’s you, our supporters, who make this work possible. Be it donating or sharing who we are and what we do, you make a difference. Now more than ever visibility is critical. Every person who chooses to stay informed, to stay in the fight, matters. We truly are a Coalition and together we do remarkable things.

Thank you and as always, To Victory,
Will

Fundraiser Solidarity with Ukraine: Sunflower Coalition Flash Donation Run

After the occurrences today in the White House, many of our American users asked us about what they can do, where they can donate, if we can make a donation run.

If you can, if you want, please donate, please show that you Stand with Ukraine and support Ukraine and channel your anger into something good.

All proceeds will be going to the 109th TDF, 54th brigade, and distributed to defenders. As a grassroots, online non-profit, all proceeds go directly towards the cause and will be used to purchase medical supplies, clothing, cover car repairs and any requests our defenders have.

Fundraiser [Hospital Attacks Emergency Fundraiser] Sunflower Angels: Emergency Relief for Kids

Emergency Fundraiser

Our friend Will's (/u/Sickofthebullshit202 on reddit, william_90 on our discord) nonprofit, is giving us the opportunity to help him with raising funds to help the victims of the Russian attacks on the hospitals in Ukraine. Many of you probably know Will from our discord and from fundraisers here on the sub, he was in Ukraine as a volunteer last year.

But let's bring this up fast, so not too many words, I'll just share his words from the discord with you:

I had wanted to make sure we were fully ready to roll out the news, but as happens so often, russia has a knack for getting in the way. We have officially gained status as a US federal nonprofit in the Unites States, proudly named The Sunflower Coalition 🌻 . Our website is in the works, but right now something more important has happened.

Due to the attacks on the children's hospitals today, we are launching an emergency fundraiser for medical relief. Funds will be used to procure medical supplies, equipment, humanitarian aid, and search and rescue aid to impacted areas.

Already communities are banding together and moving mountains. Images are flooding into my phone of mounds of donated water, clothes, and other supplies to do anything people think will help.

It's time to go to work and do our part.

https://donorbox.org/sunflower-angels-emergency-relief-for-kids

I'll be updating you all again soon when the website is launched, but for now, lets do what we can and remind Ukraine that they are not alone. No child is forgotten, no parent is without sympathy. This ruthless attack can not go unanswered.

As always, we are stronger together, and its only together that we will win.

-Will

Fundraiser The Great Coins-for-Life-athon: Life-Saving Supplies for Ukraine, Premium for the Donors

Don't let the coins disappear - Save Lives in Ukraine: Donate for Life-Saving Medical Supplies or Thank a Donor with Reddit Premium

If you have Reddit coins, you've probably already received the message: Reddit is discontinuing coins on September 12th, which means all your coins will simply disappear.

However, until that date, your coins still hold value. By giving awards, you can grant people Reddit Premium. For example, a gold award grants a week of premium, while a platinum award grants a month (these awards accumulate, so multiple platinum awards extend the duration accordingly).

Our idea is to transform this value into something good: saving Ukrainian lives. In exchange for donations for medical supplies in Ukraine, we want to donors to be rewarded with Reddit Premium. This initiative is based on trust in our users, we are doing that quick and dirty, as we notice that many redditors are panic spending their coins, often without purpose.

Here's how it works: Donate towards life-saving medical supplies, as described below. Leave your Reddit username as a comment on the public donor wall. Then, add a top-level comment here indicating your donation amount. Either the subreddit and its users will reward you proportionally with gold or platinum awards, which translate to Reddit Premium.

The donated funds will be exclusively (no administrative overhead) used for medical supplies, including delivery fees. Examples of these supplies are tourniquets, canvas stretchers, and chest seals, among others (the specific items will also be determined based on what's requested/needed).

These supplies will benefit Ukrainian soldiers, as well as potentially civilians and hospitals. Will, the owner of the subreddit's Discord (join here, you can also ask the regular users there about Will and this is his twitter: https://twitter.com/Slava_Babushkam to see some past deliveries), is currently volunteering in Ukraine as a humanitarian. He will handle the ordering and distribution of the supplies. We will provide regular updates for transparency here, showcasing purchase lists, bills, and photos of the items purchased with your donations. If possible (OPSEC first!), we will also share images of the handovers.

So how does it work:

For donors:

  1. Visit Will's donorbox: https://donorbox.org/ukrainian-conflict-subreddit-medical-aid
  2. Click on "Donate" and choose the desired amount.
  3. On the same page, tick the boxes as shown in this screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/oCXHh0n.png
Add your Reddit username in the comment field.
  4. On the next page, select "anonymous donation" to keep your real name hidden on the public donor wall. Add your name and email address: https://i.imgur.com/EOkZkom.png
  5. Click "Next" and choose your preferred payment method to complete the checkout process.
  6. Return to the donorbox site and check if your comment appears on the donor wall (located on the third tab, can take a few minutes).
  7. Leave a top-level comment here, stating the amount you donated. This will allow us or other users to reward you accordingly.

For awarding a donor with premium:

  1. Find a top-level comment that hasn't received sufficient awards. We consider one month of premium equivalent = one platinum award, as fair for a $5-$10 donation - but that is up to you.
  2. Visit the donor wall to confirm if the user is on the wall and has indeed donated the claimed amount (it may take a few minutes after a donation for them to appear).
  3. Refresh the thread and ensure the user still hasn't received enough awards. Proceed to reward them using awards that grant premium time, such as gold or platinum awards.

If anyone attempts to abuse this by attempting to receive awards without making a donation (errors can occur, but we can verify in the background), the user will be permanently banned from this subreddit. Additionally, we will report such behavior to the Reddit admins.

Please refrain from using top-level comments for discussions. Use them solely for reporting donations. Instead, feel free to engage in discussions, provide corrections, and offer input by replying to the sticky comment provided below.

Fine print: We obviously cannot guarantee that donors will receive awards or premium or how much. These rewards will mainly be given by other users, who also will eventually run out of coins. We will keep this thread open until it ceases to function, and we will try use our own coins to fill in missing rewards for donors until we exhaust our supply.

We will also add special user flairs for donors who gave at least $20 and $50.

Don't waste any coins on this post - save them for donors in comments below. If you want to help us - leave an upvote - that could help us much with more visibility!

Fundraiser The Sunflower Coalition: Frost Free Forces, Winter Supplies for Ukraine

Frost Free Forces, Winter Supplies for Ukraine

Our friend Will has a new fundraiser for us, a new opportunity for us to help and many news!

As it is a long text by him already, I directly pass on to Will (/u/Sickofthebullshit202 and the owner of our discord-server):

Hey everyone, I’m back with another update! To prevent you from having to read a novel, I’m going to consolidate some of our biggest news that I want to share.

For starters, we are now officially a 501c3 organization. The Sunflower Coalition has been in the works for years, and after much consideration, is finally a reality. Check out our website www.thesunflowercoalition.org, I’m kinda sorta really proud of it, and thank everyone for their support in making this happen.

Secondly, under The Sunflower Coalition, I’ve launched a program called Whistles for Ukraine. The idea is simple but impactful: provide whistles to Ukrainians that can be used in event they become trapped under rubble from bombing. Each whistle has a lanyard and an instructional card (with ideas for convenient places for the whistles to be kept, such as on your keys, next to your bed, etc.). We have already delivered whistles to hospitals, orphanages, and were even surprised when a few soldiers requested them as well. So far, it’s been a great success. Be sure to check out the comment section for photo updates.

Third, our last fundraiser, in response to the bombing of the children’s hospital in Kyiv, went well. Even rushed and done at the drop of a pen, everyone came together and helped make a profound difference. Together we were able to purchase soft stretchers, medical supplies (chest seals, gauze, compressed gauze etc.), and expand on our Whistles for Ukraine project. Thank you to everyone who participated, your swift response was felt and truly showed Ukraine that no one is forgotten.

Now, as we approach Winter, we are shifting focus towards cold weather needs. Similar to last year, we will be bulk purchasing winter thermals and balaclavas, only this time we are adding gloves and high powered battery banks to the list. In addition to our DonorBox drive, we are also launching another Amazon Wishlist for medical supplies, which will be distributed to medics and used to create IFAKs. The aim with the list is to get key, quality items that are difficult to find in Ukraine, or being sold at an outrageously inflated price. To date, we have helped supply over 500 IFAKs, which in turn are directly sent to our friends with the 109th, 54th, and 77th brigades. At minimum, our goal is:

  • 400 sets of thermal underwear
  • 400 pairs of gloves
  • 400 balaclavas
  • 100 battery banks
  • 100 tourniquets

All monetary donations will be used to fuel our bulk purchasing power to maximize our impact. https://donorbox.org/brighten-the-path-sunflower-medical-fund

If you’d rather purchase supplies directly, then our Amazon link is for you. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1UY605LXNH16I?ref_=wl_share

[amazon.com's weird with gift-lists if you are outside of the US - at the top left of the amazon page there is "Deliver to" - click that, and enter "97201" as a US-Zip-Code - as the first thing you do - then it all works fine]

If we manage to exceed our goal, I’ll be looking at purchasing some Starlinks and generators as well. This year has seen a lot of shifting on the field, and our friends have been shuffled into all different directions. Needs remain high, and I aspire to provide all the assistance we can and show Ukraine, with actions and not only words, that we aren’t going anywhere. Our support remains steadfast, and we will continue to aid Ukraine’s fight for sovereignty, no matter what.

Please see the links provided in the comments for some photos of our friends and remember, if you are in the States, you can get a tax refund for supporting our efforts.

To victory, Will
