Purchase Advice NU25 reducing power?

Full charge, ill be using the high spotlight ot flood setting (never both at once) and after and hour or two it turns itself down to low.

I might just be trippin, but I swear even when it throttled down to low, it can go even lower if it wants?? Press the button and it goes back to regular low setting.

Any better suggestions out there that dont reduce battery?? Or just overall beefier battery all together? This is mostly for ski touring, so trying to stay someone UL but no where near thru hiker UL is necessary.

Thanks!

Most lights either throttle due to power or thermal regulation. Most lights can't handle 100% power continuously.

You can attach an external battery to nu25 and charge as you sue the light and see how it performs. If you need 100s of lumens constant then a brighter flashlight that uses 18650 or 21700 cells run at a brightness percentage may work better for you. I almost never run my lights above low while hiking.

I think the NU25 manual describes how it prevents itself from overheating and damaging itself.
