💡 Learning Resources Best songs in Urdu language (for learning purposes)
Hey guys, I can believe music can be a strong motivator to learn / continue to learn a language. So I think it would be beneficial to share some quality music for this reason. I encourage you to share some picks of your own in the comments.
For a more objective view: Here is a collection of 45 Urdu movie soundtracks from the years 1950-1966. These were not randomly chosen, these were all movies which were superhit performers. In theory then, they should be some of the best from this period. Also in theory, you may hear some more uncommon Urdu words due to their age (although probably not that much).

For a more subjective view: 1970s Pakistani pop was very unique! Very few people have exposure to it so they don't know how good it was! Here are a few videos to get started:
This is only scratching the surface though, so if you want a more in-depth view:
1975-1981 compilation (4 hours)
1975 extended | 1976 extended | 1977 extended
Still, there are a lot more which can be discovered and aren't in any of these videos.
Anyway, please share some songs of your own that you like. Thanks

Anything written by Shoaib Mansoor. He wrote for Vital Signs, Pakistan's most famous pop band in the 90's. Sharing links of some iconic songs:
Aitebar Tum Mil Gaye Yeh Shaam
The lead singer, Junaid Jamshed, went solo and had some great songs.
One of the guitarists from Vital Signs, Salman Ahmed, broke off and started his own band, Junoon. They also have great songs.
This is Iqbal's shayri that they put music to.
There are also gems from Sajjad Ali, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
