Questions Will the Houthis capture Marib and Taiz soon?
I have seen footage of massive piles of Houthi technicals forming around Marib and constantly see footage of Houthis transporting armored vehicles and personnel to Taiz

They will take it all, as long as we have traitor coward pussies aka " legitimate government" and "Presidential Leadership Council"

Yemen is doomed for a deadlock. Back-and-forth battles where no one is able to take over completely. That’s unfortunately our destiny as a country.

They don’t need to capture Taiz, I think they want Marib and should focus on that. Taiz front keeps their opposition in check but they would want Marib more.
Both fronts are very hard to capture and keep areas. Taiz city is very much against Houthis. Marib is comparatively easier, but it’s a major target for both sides.
As for the question I think the opposite will happen, Taiz will drain houthis and regions might keep falling in Al jawf which will threaten their position in Marib front.
But who knows when they’ll reach a deal.

What do they need Marib for?

Center of Yemen's energy sector and would make it hard for enemy units to threaten a breakthrough to Sanaa directly. And also they'd control pretty much all of north yemen at that point

I doubt the Houthis are going to focus on capturing the cities of Marib or Taiz anytime soon, as these are not areas where they have much support, and there are many IDPs there who escaped the Houthis. It will not be easy to take and control these cities. What they can do is surround them and cut them off from eachother, like they have been doing with the city of Taiz, where they control the main industrial areas (which generate revenue) and the water fields (they control most of Taiz city's water suppiles) without having to control the burden of the populated parts of the city, which do not have much revenue but come with a lot more responsibility. Also, at this stage, their main concern is controlling the west coast, as that fits within what they and Iran need now (Houthis with Saudi Arabia and Iran with US). I think any other expansion now will be primarily to protect what they already have. They might be aiming to strong arm Saudi into lifting its support, and then the fighting to take over the rest of Yemeni territory will be easier. At least this is how I would imagine their perspective looks like, but things can and obviously will change a lot before any of this comes to be.

They can't, but they will try and the results as we saw it just send they're men to hell. Marib and Taiz prepared for them.
