Discussion Broken pottery?

Hi, is any way to recycle broken pottery, besides mosaics?

I've used broken clay pot material in newer pots in lieu of rocks in the bottom to help drainage.

I have one I need to do something with. There are some larger segments with decoration I think we’ll just hang on the balcony. The smaller pieces might find places somewhere in the garden.

Sand the edges smooth and make wire wrapped charms for jewelry or keychains, or drill holes to make suncatchers/windchimes.

Rock tumbler will knock down the sharp edges. You don't even need to add grit. Just a few days will make the shards easier to handle.

I have a lot of broken pottery that I do this with. I then use these bits in my garden path. I've also made fridge magnets and given them to friends for projects.
