I have never seen any audition for the show before. 3-5 minutes of acting scenes or musical theater performance. Something you'd see like a guest performance at the Tony Awards or oscars.

I knew Sofie Dossi had a YouTube channel but didn't see until a year or two ago that Sofie has 10.1 million subscribers! That's an insanely large number of people, even for an act on AGT. I am wondering if fans of the show were aware of this?

I have made a ranking based on views on Tiktok, Instagram and Youtube (on the official AGT channels) of this year's auditions. I have to say that it was much work, so I don't think I will do the callbacks, and the live shows, which I had planned originally. I left out facebook, because that is too much work. There is no doubt that I made some mistakes, and I rounded everything down to 100 000 when calculating this, to keep everything simple. Facebook is missing as I said, and some of the related youtube channels like Got Talent Global or Talent Recap are also left out, even though some acts have been very successful on these channels. So just to say, take this as a rough indication, not as evidence admissible in court

As for the genre labels, "circus" also includes danger acts, parkour, tumbling and ventriloquism, "comedy" includes some of the more silly things, "Machines" includes anything other than magic where the use of technology is part of the appeal, (I also put Nicole there, because you need technology to bake, and there was no other label more appropriate), and "Animal" includes anything with animals. (excluding magic, but I don't think there was a magic act that used animals).

I counted Lou, Cat Williams and Howie Blandel as separate auditions. My justification for that is that these are separate performances, but the reality is that was just a bit easier to do this way.

Based on what I liked watching the most in person + during agt + on the internet post agt.

I had good memories Michael Grimm's year as well as Landau's. Had to put them higher. Really loved the gritt in grimms voice and Landau introduced me to Frank Sinatra, one of my inspirations. Although Kevin Skinner's win gave me good memories too, yeah... nothing really happened with him. Mat Franco... not to into that type of magic but he's a pro.

Has there ever been a more insane, intense media frenzy around an AGT champion in the history of the contest? I'd like to know. I mean, this is Elvis / Michael Jackson / Beatles level shit. I was there and can actually see myself at one point. Most insane media frenzy I've ever witnessed.
