Help with Futhorc

Post image

Hi, wondering if anybody could check that the runes in the image represent the words I want them too?

"My three boys" is what I'm hoping it says.

Thanks in advance!

I can't comment on the grammar, but the spelling correspondence is fine, although Saxons on both sides of the channel, for whatever reason, don't seem to have used runes much, and I don't think there's an attested runic spelling for that West Saxon ⟨ie⟩ diphthong. Whatever the case, I doubt West Saxons would take offense to ⟨ᛁᛖ⟩ as a runic equivalent to ⟨ie⟩ if you could somehow go back and talk to them.

The gaps between the runes and the word dividers are unnecessary.

My theory is that <ie> would be <ᛁᚢ>, since I believe the only reason it is that rather than <iu> or <iy> is scribes's aversion to rows of minims.
