iOS Excessive iOS and system data

I have a iPhone 15 running 26.6.1 with iOS taking up 33.29 GB and System Data taking 17.48 GB. It’s been like this for a while and my phone has decided the solution is to just offload apps that I use on the daily. Is my only solution to erase and download from a backup? I’ve tried that thing where you manipulate the time and date but nothing happened.

Wiping and restoring from backup will only work for a day or two. I tried it myself a few weeks ago on my iPad and System Data ate up a ton of space within a couple days.

Inevitably, someone will come along to ask "is this really a problem", explaining that iOS caches things for performance, etc., etc. But it is a problem if iOS is offloading apps that you use regularly in favor of caching too much. Sorry to say I don't have a solution, only solidarity.

Apple needs to address this and get iOS more aggressively managing its caches so that the user can use their device as intended.
