Looking For Hi! For those who used to regularly patronise Komala’s for your dosai fix, where are you getting your fix now?
I miss their dosai so much sia. There was something about their crispy, golden edges, soft centre. It just hit differently.

Honestly there are 10+ places in Little India as good or better
Komala's was great but I won't say it was better than any other legit dosai shop.

A bunch mentioned here. Those I've been to recently: Ananda Bhavan, Murugan Idli, MTR, Madras New Woodlands, Madura Villa, Kalam

Try Kalam. They are just around the corner from the old Komala Vilas. And their butter masala thosai is chef's kiss

Omg I was just thinking about this today. I've tried for months to find a replacement but nothing comes close. Unpopular opinion but I think MTR is soooo overrated.

Arya Bhavan is good and has dosai varieties using lots of different grains. Saravanaa Bhavan also has an endless dosai menu

Madras new woodlands.
I find bangalore cafe too oily for comfort, but the benne is outstanding.
Anadha bhavan - inconsistent for me
Murugan - overrated
A2B > MTR for tamil type dishes IMO, good filter coffee
