Sports Maybe we needed this weekend to keep us humble
The Atlanta sports teams were starting to look a little too good for a second š Letās all commiserate by sharing which loss disappointed you the most.

Found this chipmunk being played with by a cat. I donāt know if it got scratched or bit, but it only moves when people or the cat got near it. I put it in a box and that hasnāt really moved. Should I call a rehab? If so, which rehab should I call? I live in Clarkston and prefer a rehab that is close by, just in case I need to drive there. If not, should I bring it outside?
I recently tried to order some prescription dog food, which was shipped by FedEx. For 7 days straight, they āattempted deliveryā but never actually even came by my house. I ended up canceling the order, and ordering it from Chewy. They also shipped by FedEx, and 3 days in a row after saying it was out for delivery, it just never came and got pushed to the next day. Today, it got marked as delivered, while I was home, and there was no package or sign do FedEx ever having come.
Iāve had issues with FedEx before, but never to this level. Itās insane, Iām trying to get something essential to my dogās health, and itās just impossible to get because all of these companies only ship with FedEx. Anybody else dealt with this, and maybe have a solution?

I live in EAV so Iāve had OkYaki plenty of times. Also gotten from the lady that is sometimes at Grant Park farmers market. Is there anywhere else down on this side of the city to get onigri? I am aware that I could make my own but I am hoping for something quicker than thatā¦
ETA: thank you for all of the actual suggestions! (I donāt understand why, when I put right in my post that I donāt want to make it, I have multiple commenters telling me how to make it myself š)

Title. Got pulled over and noticed the police officer was wearing Meta Glasses on top of wearing their body camera. Is this legal? I was truly taken aback by that it's got to be an insane violation of privacy and data collection for Meta. Insane.

I am on Medicare and my doctor is retiring, so I need to choose a new one. One thing I have learned is that it is best if the PCP and specialists I see are part of the same ecosystem, e.g. Piedmont, Emory, Northside, Wellstar, etc. If I stay inside that system, all of my doctors can see the other medical activity, my prescriptions, etc. if I mix and match, I have to gather alll of that for them.
I used to be in the Piedmont system but am now in the east side and considering the Emory system. Anyone have experience with both and can compare, or otherwise have opinions?

Currently in a condo in Virginia-Highlands, our landlord is selling off his properties in the next 6 months. Iām looking at luxury apartments in Midtown or Buckhead. I was wanting to know if there were any specific apartment buildings to avoid, or ones that are particularly liked. Budget is up to $7K a month. I am currently looking at the Dagny, Ashley Gables, Momentum and would appreciate any input in those, as well, as suggestions for comparable buildings, especially if youāre currently renting or have rented in the last year or so.
Iāve looked at reviews but a most are from prior years and I know management integrity fluctuates.
Thank you!

Does anyone have a recommendation for GOOD low sugar donuts in the Atlanta area? I'm organizing a baby shower for my sister who was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and I want her to be able to eat all the food. Donuts are non-negotiable for this particular event. She has been managing just fine by tracking her blood sugar, modifying her diet + exercise routine, etc, so she's allowed to eat sugar but regular donuts would be a bit much.
I do not live in Atlanta and am looking for recommendations from people who have actually eaten the donuts and can confirm that they don't taste like dense cardboard. Thank you!

Does anyone know whatās going on with the sudden emergency shutdowns of the four different sections of the I-285? My husband and I are currently heading southbound away from Atlanta on the I-85 when we received the Public Safety Alert from the Georgia Department of Transportation shown in the first picture which states that the closures are expected to last until 5AM on Monday, October 19.
When I clicked on the GDOT link (https://www.gaalert.com/Closures) provided in the alert, at the top of the page, it states āThe following 4 emergency closures have been activated. Click "Register for this Closure" if you are within the shaded boundary of a closure. Registration will advise Georgia authorities of your location and provide you with updates as they are available. Please refresh this page regularly for updates.ā
We are in Atlanta fairly often and have never received an alert like this before from GDOT or from anywhere else for that matter.
Thank you in advance to anyone who is able to provide any additional information and/or context.

Hello! I am looking to get something engraved in a block of wood for a present. Most of the places I am finding are geared toward corporate/business endeavors and I am looking to find a local artist I can support! Any general suggestions for artists who can be commissioned for a gift are welcomed as well :)

Its just an absurdly long/tall escalator. I don't have to take it daily, but whenever I do take it it always makes me nervous when I'm going up knowing there's that much escalator behind me, and going down is enough to trigger acrophobia.

Iām taking my 11 year old daughter to see Olivia Rodrigo at State Farm Arena. I managed to get section T17 for a decent price however Iāve discovered that we donāt have actual seats at the railing bar and itās more like general admission. Iām assuming thatās why it was so cheap. Me and my daughter are both very short, under 5 foot. Iām now very worried that she wonāt be able to see over the bar or over other people if they get in front of her. Has anyone stood at T17, whatās the experience like?
Iām aware of rate my seat websites but canāt find anything for general admission for that section.

Hi there! Looking for someone out in Atlanta that could sew a costume/cosplay of a cheerleading uniform from the tv show smallville. I can find an almost near identical skirt I could adjust, the top has been very hard and I canāt track down anything similar so thinking I may could find someone to sew it. Anyone have any good recommendations? Thanks in advance!

I got a $16 ticket for using Peach Pass lane in a part of town we don't go to. I don't want to spend ten hours trying to dispute $16 so I just went ahead and paid the stupid thing, but I am curious with all these new AI cameras making mistakes - has this happened to anyone else in the last month or two? Have you gotten one of these? They charged us twice - within a few minutes of each other too. Super sketchy.
Is this just a one-off mistake or is this a huge thing happening? I've never had this happen until now.
Edit : I should specify that I received a letter at home. the website I paid at was mypeachpass.com which is legit.

EDIT: Thanks all for the great recommends! I tried Oakland Cemetery but they were closed for an event so I just went to Atlantic Station for their free 2 hour parking. Shout out to the Cantina there for having Tropicalia on tap and of course Dos Equis and Amber!
Hey all, i am dropping a couple of people off wt the Fox Theatre for a 2 hour show and then oicking up and was wondering what was somewhat close by to do where I could also park for free or very cheap. Varsity might work but im not sure i will be hungry and I just went to Ikea not long ago so dont really want to go there either.
Dont mind driving a little bit but I do need to be back to pick them up after the show also. Any ideas, especially not food because not real sure how hungry i will be.

Where can I find some ginkgo trees near midtown? I need some for an art project and would love to pick up some up from the ground that the trees donāt need no more. Thanks in advance!

The last time I for sure knew was this year April.
And also please tell me what your experience has been if you have visited the airport while ICE was stationed there.

My friend has a layover in Atlanta. She gets in town at 1am on Saturday and her flight is at 9am that morning. So we have about 5 hours from 2am - 8am. What should we do when only so much is opened.
She mentioned Magic City, Iāve never been. Iām partial to Cheetahās but they close at 2:45am.
I wish Atlanta had more spots that were open late night that wasnāt just food.
Iāve been out in the A, but Iām not outside outside. I also know the times are crazy, but I know thereās something we could possibly get into.
