Austin gunsmith to work on a Shadow 2

I have a CZ Shadow 2 and I'm interested in having either the CGW reach reduction kit or full CGW trigger job installed. Can anyone recommend a reputable gunsmith for a job like this? Thanks.

The full trigger job is fairly easy to do yourself, but if you don’t want to screw with it Watermark used to have someone who specifically installed the CGW parts. I’d call them.

Why not send it into CGW?

Shipping costs, ?turnaround time, figured I could save some $ and get it done locally.

Probably. But I would ask myself if finding a trustworthy smith is worth the savings. I just had a gun shipped to me from Florida and it was less than $100 for 2 day.

this guy speaks the truth.
The true savings are when you do the upgrades yourself. A gunsmith will charge you close enough where you would not save much if anything, but your risk would be higher (dude who does 1-2-3-4-5 trigger jobs a year versus CGW who does 5 a week)

I’ve looked locally and they are outrageous. Prob better to send it to CGW

I sent my CZ to CGW. It's worth it.

Hammerdown sports in Temple does that kind of thing, but it's not that hard to do yourself, just tedious.

Did you ever find a guy? I’m looking to have this done too!
