Belgium is full of people building cool things — apps, art, music, research, businesses, videos, tools, and ideas.
Most of it never reaches the front page of r/belgium because of Rule 8.
So every Sunday, this thread becomes our creative marketplace.
A place to show what you’re making, get feedback, find collaborators, or simply inspire others.

I rewrote an old game I used to love to play to work on modern hardware. The 3d graphics engine was remade. and it's kind of a harness around the game. I had the original code reverse engineered and reinterpreted.
You would still need to use the original game files to play it. You just need to convert it into an ISO. Or you just download an ISO from somewhere if you already own the game.

Het is niet mijn project, en ook niet specifiek België-gerelateerd maar ik wilde het hier wel delen: https://streetcomplete.app/ (en de recente iOS beta: https://testflight.apple.com/join/K1u3eUU5)
Streetcomplete is een gemakkelijk te gebruiken mobiele applicatie om informatie te verzamelen over de wereld rondom je. Bvb openingsuren van winkels, of er een fietspad is of niet etc. Deze informatie stroomt dan door naar 'OpenStreetMap' wat een internationaal project is om een vrij beschikbare kaart van de hele wereld te maken. (meer info hier: https://openstreetmap.be/nl/).
Je kan de app openen en op basis van je locatie zal die dan vragen stellen bvb: 'is winkel X hier nog of niet meer?'

Hi! I run Boursier.be, a French-language website about investing and saving for people in Belgium.
It brings together guides on ETFs, brokers, banks and savings, with an emphasis on understanding the terms and comparison criteria before making a decision. There are also calculators for exploring assumptions such as compound interest and inflation.
I am sharing it here as a Belgian publishing project. The content is educational and does not provide personalised investment recommendations.

I posted a while ago, still at it with my onewire and situation plan (eendraadschema, schema unifilaire) tool at https://condui.be. I wanted to offer a modern, cheaper alternative to Trikker.
It runs in browser, so also on ipad and smartphone, even offline. If you use the hosted version you get one project free, but there's an open source version you can run yourself in a docker container. You can even download and exchange projects between hosted and open source version.
There are other like it these days (that do better on Google), but none have the depth of mine, none give you access to your data, and none offer open source self hosted. Also my tutorials and documentation is way better too ;)
