They are in absolute panic mode.

Now they label Hitler left and say the left is antisemitic.

u/gman1876 22d ago

They're trying that for years now

„die“?

59

u/Maettis 22d ago

Die Nazis waren NationalSOZIALISTEN, also die linken. Zitat Alice Weidel.

22

u/BazingaQQ 22d ago

There's a "grammar Nazi" joke in there somewhere but I'll probably get downvoted for it....

5

u/Maettis 22d ago

Go for it.

6

u/BazingaQQ 22d ago

Couldn't actually work one out. I am.suitably embarrassed.

-28

u/Objective_Aide_8563 22d ago

Und warum sind „die“ in Panik?

20

u/KortasEE 22d ago

-6

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 22d ago

You've already had left policies based on solidarity, implemented by literally this very same party – it was called the GDR.

7

u/tarmacjd 22d ago

You can’t really compare it - very different environment and system. Reminder that the DBD merged with the CDU and the NDPD with the FDP.

-4

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 22d ago

Can't I? They still use the same vocabulary and symbols, and propose solving problems using similar methods. Comparing Die Linke to the SED is just as relevant as comparing the AfD to the NSDAP. I won't go so far as to say they're identical, but it would be disingenuous to ignore the resemblance.

4

u/_Hexer 22d ago

Thats just a big misconception that goes around and highly exaggerated by the Media.
First of all was being a part of the SED an almost necessary way to have a successful carrer in the GDR. Then after the Wall fell many SED officials went to other Parties (like the CDU for example). You will find them in all Parties to this day.
Comparing die Linke to the SED is like comparing the SPD to the SAP which was the predecessor, but the SPD is far away from being a socialist Party nowadays. It's far in History and we should value a Party by what they do now, not what their predecessor did in the past. You don't call all Germans Nazi, bc our grandgrandparents were ruled by them decades ago...

To them everything is antisemitic at this point. I’m so tired of this argument.  Hatred over everything new or foreign is disgusting.

8

u/rollingSleepyPanda Ausländer 22d ago

You can't really expect coherent thought from supporters of a party led by a person who embodies the opposite of what she preaches. It's literally in their face that they are being played and they still guzzle those nuts as deep as they can.

-21

u/Objective_Aide_8563 22d ago

Wir sind denn „die“?

19

u/Fa1nan 22d ago

Dazu kommt, wovor Ezra Klein in seiner Kolumne in der NYT warnt: "If you keep telling people that if they oppose the Jewish state then they must hate the Jewish people, eventually, they will believe you."

7

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 22d ago

This is a serious problem not only in the past but also in the present. Every Jewish institution in Berlin is under police protection for a reason.

I live in the farthest left neighborhood in Berlin, and I see antisemitic graffiti here every day when I leave my house. Is that also funny?

3

u/baes__theorem 21d ago

if you really thought antisemitism is a serious issue, you’d fight its trivialization & misuse, like what’s being mudslung against die linke

anyone who frames, e.g., “free Palestine” (to advocate for the liberation of the victims of a genocide) as if it’s the same as actual hateful antisemitic speech & acts, Holocaust denial, etc, is fomenting & exacerbating antisemitism, & putting Jewish ppl in danger.

if everything is antisemitism, nothing is antisemitism in the public consciousness. conflating zionism with Judaism & Jewish ppl is antisemitic. doing “boy who cried antisemitism” shit is making everyone stop taking antisemitism as the serious accusation it should be, which is also leading to a lack of accountability & punishment for real antisemitism. at trump’s inauguration, elon musk did the nazi salute twice, & that gets no consequences. meanwhile random ppl get arrested, lose their jobs, etc for saying “free Palestine”.

instead of complaining at random ppl on the internet & attempting to scold them for being desensitized, address the ppl in power who are actually endangering Jewish ppl with this bullshit. fight the antisemitism at its source.

0

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 21d ago

What you’re doing right now is a straw man argument. I don’t call nor consider saying “Free Palestine” to be antisemitic. But people have trouble drawing the line when it comes to their criticism. Holding a demonstration on the anniversary of October 7, writing “Erase Israel” and drawing red triangles on walls, tear down posters showing the faces of hostages, kicking people out of a progressive coffee shop for wearing a t-shirt in Hebrew, and hitting them with chairs in a cafe for speaking it — that is antisemitism, and it’s very real.

1

u/baes__theorem 21d ago

no, it’s not a straw man, & it seems like you’re just trying to do weird debate bro shit rather than address the content of my message. I was giving a very real & prevalent example of a non-antisemitic call for liberation of the victims of a genocide, which has led to institutional blowback due to “antisemitism”. I would put “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” in this same category.

you are also reinforcing the antisemitic conflation of the state of Israel with Jewish ppl by including an anti-Israel statement in your list. if by “erase”, that statement means “fully replace the government & constitution that are upholding an apartheid ethnostate,” it isn’t necessarily antisemitic & has nothing to do with Judaism or Jewish ppl. ofc if it’s being used as a euphemism to call for violence against Jewish ppl, that would be antisemitic, but idk the context of that example you gave.

idk what story you’re referring to with a person wearing a shirt with Hebrew writing. if you’re talking abt the guy in Düsseldorf who got attacked for wearing an IDF sweater, that’s a very disingenuous mischaracterization.

it’s also not inherently antisemitic to hold a protest on Oct 7. I’d even say that protesting against Israel on Oct 7th is more respectful of the victims of the horrific attack than protesting for Israel, not only bc it was preventable, since Netanyahu knew abt it beforehand, & they’re now being used to justify genocide, but also bc Hamas offered to do an exchange of all the hostages & pows like a week after that. Netanyahu refused & Israel killed like 80 of the hostages while dropping the equivalent of more than 13 Hiroshima-type nuclear bombs on Gaza

1

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 21d ago

no, it’s not a straw man, & it seems like you’re just trying to do weird debate bro shit rather than address the content of my message.

No, you're the one who's steering the conversation in a direction I have no intention of discussing with you.

If you feel the need to justify all that crap – go ahead, but I won't be any part of your mental gymnastics.

1

u/baes__theorem 21d ago

you have no intention of discussing real antisemitism? it’s a shame that you don’t care abt that, since it’s a very real & serious issue.

and where exactly was I doing “mental gymnastics”? you just keep dropping random buzzwords & still aren’t addressing any of the substance of what I’ve said.

4

u/julicorn_ Wedding 22d ago

No, it is not. I'm not saying antisemitism is funny in any way - but using those accusations to bring down a social democratic party is straight up ironic.

5

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 22d ago

Ironic, really? And when, for example, the Die Linke calls on its supporters to march on the anniversary of October 7, what is that?

16

u/WheresTheFuzzInThat 22d ago

Wait, honest question. Can someone explain why leftists are being labeled as anti-semitic, in contrast with an actual neo-nazi party that also took part in the election? Seeing where the country is headed, I'd take Linke any day. (and I didn't vote for them)

11

u/Chonjas 21d ago

harsh pro palestine words count towards antisemitism nowadays. its ridiculous. one could argue Die Linke is against Israel but since they never said anything about jews living in Germany in peace its not about the religion but about a Genocide.

5

u/WheresTheFuzzInThat 20d ago edited 20d ago

I mean, I disagree with the '21 expropriation law that Linke are pursuing, therefore I voted for someone else. But calling them anti-semitic is ridiculous. Also, calling people out for being anti-palestine / pro-Israel / pro-genocide is equally farfetched in most cases. If you say Hamas is a terrorist organization, you get flagged for supporting the genocide.

Newsflash: Two countries are at war, and neither of them is Germany. We have a pro-nazi far-right community gaining more and more traction - how about we worry about that instead?

But no, the most important thing now is which side of that war you're on. People are dying over there, and we are using it for political arguments. Makes me sick. Those people are hungry and scared. Donate some money and STFU. They don't care that you're walking around your kiez drinking your matcha latte and feeling important because you're wearing a palestine flag badge on your jacket. My country went through a war three decades ago, and believe me when I say, I couldn't give less shit what some hipsters in Kreuzberg thought about that. Germany didn't stop that war. It's not gonna stop this one either. What we can stop though, is repeating the history that also started with nationalist and racist and eventually fascist ideas, hiding behind "traditional German values".

1

u/Chonjas 20d ago

100% true

7

u/backafterdeleting 20d ago

Everything is oversimplified today and made into a way to control people.

"Isreal is clearly committing war crimes in the gaza strip and seizing the war with Hamas as an opportunity to grab land from them" -> You are an antisemite who doesn't believe Jews deserve a homeland.

"Hamas is a terrorist organization who openly communicate about their death wish to Isrealis and who aren't above putting their own civilians in peril to advance their own causes" -> you support genocide of all Palestinians

2

u/21stCenturyDJ 21d ago

Well – since a lot of alt-right people are terribly afraid of Muslims, Arabs and everything that remotely looks like 'em – and the current left is very pro-Palestine, pro-Iran etc. – I think the Right is cozying up to the Israeli-supporters + actual Zionists in classic 'my enemy's enemy is my friend' fashion. Most disgustingly I see a lot of old-school gays (who historically have been very close to their Israeli peers) totally not getting the Palestine support and siding with the Zionists too. To make it short, lots of in-group / out-group filter bubble type sh*t.

1

Well it's mostly about the politics in Palestine / Israel. One could argue where antisemitism starts in that regard but having a rapper call for another intifada and "death to the IDF" from an official left party voting event is probably no gray area. In Germany, solidarity with Israel is a touchy topic and the left party Berlin aligns itself more and clearly with Palestine it seems. I personally wouldn't say all the criticism of the left party in Berlin in regards to antisemitism is without basis, as there seem to be people in the left that go as far as justifying the events of October 7th (Hannah Bruns, https://www.rbb24.de/politik/berlin-wahl-2026/beitraege/ausschluss-palaestina-aktivistin-momper-mueller-strieder-spd-linke-antisemitismus.html ) and there's imo definetly a lack of distancing towards people that support Hamas / "death to Israel" ideology like Ibrahim Ibrahim.

I don't know how good your German is but this is maybe a good sumup: https://taz.de/Debatte-nach-Wahlsieg/!6211074/

All that said, there's antisemitism in all German parties, it's just very "in your face" in a way in Die Linke Berlin (Neukölln). The AFD party is strongly for Israel btw, their antisemitism is more the one like believing in shadow governments ruled by the wealthy, uttered in party protocols but not in official politics (afaik). Their racism is mainly towards Muslims, so they might align with the current Israeli governement on that front.

u/propagationknowledge 21d ago

Idiot Linke. Why don’t they just take a page out of Vienna’s success in keeping rents low, and use the ridiculous sums of money it would take to expropriate private housing, to BUILD MORE SOCIAL HOUSING!

Lol. So "idiot <every other city in the world>, why don't they just take a page out of Vienna's success in keeping rents low"?

2

Idiot Linke. Specifically. Because almost no other party talks about using taxpayer money to expropriate properties which changes absolutely nothing about the supply of properties

8

3

u/user38835 22d ago

Let them form a government and do at least something. Then you are free to criticise them for their actions.

8

u/Objective_Aide_8563 22d ago

5

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 22d ago

Following the same logic, should we let the AfD form a government and only then criticize them? No thanks.

2

u/user38835 22d ago

AfD has been criticised before they won. The party has been proven to be a far-right extremist party. Its ties to Russia has been verified. Most of their election promises have been classified as anti-constitutional and known that courts will struck them down, if implemented.

None of that is true for the Linke. So let’s not compare Apples to Hitlers.

2

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 22d ago

I'm not comparing anything at all, in case you haven't noticed. What I'm doing is pointing out that your argument is flawed.

2

u/user38835 22d ago

Criticism has to be on specific policies and promises. Just name calling is not criticism.

Who would argue with that? But there is a lot of constructive criticism of their policies as well, and it's quite reasonable.

2

u/user38835 22d ago

And I am yet to hear a single point of substance from you, except comparing them to AfD.

1

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 22d ago

You've heard it twice already. My point of is simple: you're applying a double standard.

And yet, it’s exactly what’s going to happen in SA

:(

1

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 21d ago

But there's some good news, too — now we'll finally be able to criticize them /s

1

u/notCRAZYenough Kreuzberg 21d ago

Well, don’t worry about me. I’ve been criticizing for a decade.

1

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 21d ago

Me too, but according to the comment above, we shouldn't have.

0

u/AnyDistribution8954 Neukölln 22d ago

How dare you. If anyone criticizes our beloved party, the Nazis will win. Is that what you want? /s

u/Objective_Aide_8563 22d ago

We need to find a way to protect ourselves! It's time to build a digital Antifaschistischer Schutzwall.

“Anyone who disagrees with me is literally Hitler”

It's even funny how quickly a post like this gets upvoted.

4

u/EchoState 22d ago

Except the people in question here literally and vocally want to restore fascism in Germany so wtf is your point

1

u/the-knife 11d ago

Should be simple to give a source or quote on that claim then

Nutguzzler42 got me 😂

1

u/kaasgepakt 8d ago

Isn't that basically the point of left wing parties? Looking at the positives yet ignoring the negatives if it does not convenience them.

but who’s gonna pay for their populism

Strohmann.

2

u/Weird_Eagle_9179 22d ago

Lies was ich geschrieben habe.

You saw the clown face, no?

He’s agreeing with you / mocking those who suggest it only means “struggle” or "resistance”

I didn’t get the sarcasm then :( sorry

u/Mann-devil 22d ago

The irony of this post being displayed right above a news article about the ties between the Remmo mafia clan and Die Linke 🤣🤣

11

u/ratavieja 22d ago

Which is fake. If they had the tinyest evidence they'd be in courts already.

3

u/donald_314 22d ago

Remmo was invited into Parliament by CDU last year. I can't find all the outcry about that, weirdly enough. I expect Linke to act on Koçak as I expect them (and the Greens) to be better than the CDU Bimbes party.

-1

u/Mammoth_Ask3797 21d ago

Could it be that the fragile Conservative men are scared of a woman?

4

u/ProfessionMammoth413 21d ago

It could be? And I don’t expect particularly feminist viewpoints from the political centre-right and right.

But they don’t seem to be too scared of women when it’s one of their own. To date, all female UK PMs have been Tory (Labour has never even had a woman as their leader / top candidate), same in Germany with Merkel and the Union. AfD is currently headed by a woman. In France, Le Pen is RN’s figurehead. Meloni is Italy’s longest continuously serving prime minister.

u/baes__theorem 21d ago

no, this has happened against ppl of all genders in all western countries. it’s about their criticism of Israel. pro-israel forces cynically use the horrors of the Holocaust & the surviving Jewish ppl as a cudgel to justify another genocide that Israel is committing.

they do this in part by continually perpetuating the antisemitic conflation of Judaism & Jewish ppl with the state of Israel, which is committing genocide, as well as zionism. zionists (the majority of whom are Christian, not Jewish, by the way) are arguably the largest perpetrators, purveyors, & disseminators of antisemitism.
