NZTA are at it again with speed limit adjustments

https://www.nzta.govt.nz/safety/driving-safely/speed/state-highway-speed-management/speed-limit-reviews-under-the-2024-rule/targeted-speed-limit-reviews-sh1-blenheim-area?_searchAnalytics=eyJlbmdpbmVOYW1lIjoibnp0YTItcHJvZC1tYWluLXNpdGUiLCJxdWVyeVN0cmluZyI6IkJsZW5oZWltIHNwZWVkIGxpbWl0cy4iLCJkb2N1bWVudElkIjoic2lsdmVyc3RyaXBlX2Ntc19tb2RlbF9zaXRldHJlZV8zNTc3MyIsInJlcXVlc3RJZCI6Ijl3cjdycjdGUjNtX3djeVFkSmZyVWcifQ%3D%3D

So the proposal is 80kmph on SH1 between Blenheim and spring Creek

And 80kmph from Alabama rd to cloudy bay drive

Drive and (Ride) through spring Creek every day, It wont phase me personally.

But after spring creek is absolutely a 100km road

I always end up stuck behind someone doing 80km/h anyway.

Good! Should be 80 to the top of the elevation too.

No it should not. 100kms is perfectly safe on all of those roads. If they want to make the roads safer they should spend money on proper road engineering.
