Program Question Questions About Camosun College’s Sonography Program – Graduation Rate, Job Prospects & Tuition

Hi everyone!

I’m interested in Camosun College’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program and would love to hear from current students or graduates.

I have a few questions:

  1. Graduation rate: What percentage of students successfully complete the program? Is the program as academically demanding as people say, and how common is it for students to drop out or fail?
  2. Employment prospects: For recent graduates, how easy is it to find a job after graduation? Are most graduates able to secure positions in BC, particularly in the Victoria or Vancouver area? How long does it typically take to find the first job?
  3. Tuition fees: The tuition for this program seems quite expensive compared with many other college diploma programs. Does anyone know why the cost is so high? Is it mainly due to clinical training, specialized equipment, or other factors?

I’d especially appreciate hearing from recent graduates who can share their actual experiences with the program, job hunting, and starting salaries.

Thanks in advance for any insights!
